Ravel Morrison is a great example of why blossoming too early can be a bad thing. Great men need to be frequently checked and humbled in their development otherwise they get stuck in a teenagers mindset. You’re talking rubbish mate to be honest. Ravel knocked about with a lot of scrotes and became involved in some nasty gangster shit including alleged witness intimidation, so the ADHD tag only covers so much, the rest is general attitude. George Best, and similar players in the 60’s, 70’s et cetera didn’t have the posse of advisers that modern day players have, and some were alcoholics because they didn’t know how to handle fame, yet they still sustained good careers. Gazza had Bipolar Disorder yet played at the highest level for many years. Ravel had an abundance of talent, and SAF would’ve stuck with him if he was worth the hassle, but he decided that he wasn’t, because of the people surrounding him, and his attitude, so SAF said “Enough”, and this from a manager who has handle some of the most supremely gifted but difficult players around. I hope he gets his shit together, but as for him playing top flight football, I doubt it. Peace and Love

I deduct along with everything else he just doesn't fit in the modern game and he wasn't willing to be flexible. He is a footballer from a by-gone era. A midfielder who despite not minding a tackle and loving the game will run back 20 yards to demand the ball to feet from a centre back turn around and just see whats on. Reqelme ask but unlike Reqelme he wasn't from the same culture or style of football to make tactical allowances for his greater technique. It was never going to happen. You have to build a team around him and you simply can't. What then if he gets inured whole team drops. Fuck I hope the Regge boys do this though and it comes off for a crazy World Cup run. I have ADHD and am on the spectrum for autism, so understand it better than 99% of people on here. And all the meds made me like a zombie. So no way are they actually any good. Many better therapeutic ways to help. His main issue is an inflated sense of self worth and a massive ego.... (Like most young players these days) Also he has a big chip on his shoulder and thinks he is the best of the best. Everyone who plays with him falls out with him. When that ego is rocked or damaged he can not take it well. Which in part is worsened by ADHD. But him just being horrible to people and showing off is nothing to do with ADHD. That's just his horrible narcissistic nature... As proven by the recent fiasco with using dead peoples disability badges. Plain and simple

@garytucker35632 жыл бұрын
So there you go. They clearly stated that the medication he would've been prescribed would have screwed him and it didn't seem whomever the governing body is that deals with drug testing were going to make an exception for him. I can relate to his situation. I've been diagnosed with non REM Narcolepsy (and AD[H]D), it has always made my life a living hell w/ maintaining work and trying to work it out with those whom I worked for. Things are ok ONLY when I have my meds, the most annoying thing was always explaining it to lets say a supervisor but it could be weeks or months down the line where I may have a delay in my meds and thus one thing could go wrong, I'm not in the ability to directly deal w/ it thus I am instantly put in the "doesn't give a s***" box, It's hard man. Depression easily sets in and one doesn't have a relatable outlet to express things that when kept in, causes actions like the ones Ravel has done, it can just spiral put of control. LET ME BE CLEAR, it isn't like I didn't screw myself over on many an occasion either! Multiple times I made bad decisions on communication, and just basically getting over my own self pity w/ accepting my condition. But there wasn't then and STILL ISN'T a concrete system established to make things lile Narcolepsy and AD[H]D actual mental health disorders that would give patients easy access to not just meds, but regular meetings with basic health doctors & neurologists & psychiatrists that actual work TOGETHER rather just pass you from one to the other only to have conflicting information. Thx for reading and welcome to DC UNITED, Ravel! BARRO BOVA!!!
@craiggibbons8228 Жыл бұрын
Most Meds do not work properly and only make the patient a zombie incapable of energy, vigor and clear thought. I understand you have ADHD and Narcolepsy. For me I have high level ADHD and autism and all meds I tried for depression, anxiety, mood swings etc, all failed. All of them. I either got more depressed. More aggressive, more worried, massive migraines,and more suicidal. I am much better off on no drugs, and cutting out sugars, caffeine, and garbage out of my food intake. As well as meditation, or mindfulness. It's not perfect and has taken years to work out (although I do suffer massive OCDS, and have to see a mental health therapist on occasion), all in all ot is still a lot better than any drugs have ever been. All the drugs would have done would have been to turn him into a gormless zombie. Which would slow his brain down and affect his quick thinking brain on the pitch. It would have ruined his career more. The real problem with Ravel (as shown by his recent arrest and fined £2000 for using a dead person's disabled badge to park his car, as well as intimidating a witness when he was younger), is he shows clear signs of narcissism and displays sociopathic traits. He cares for nothing but his own greed, image, reputation, and what he can get now, and is just not a nice person in general. All ADHD has done is make those nasty traits a lot worse. He needs to expand his mind and try other things beyond drugs.
