I only just discovered this channel and few days ago. I’m happy that I did. Half and his Mrs seem like decent people. I am absolutely blown away by your China stuff ... Not the picture of that land we get from our media. Admittedly there are human rights issues which need sorting but you dont see homeless , the streets are clean and the public transport and facilities seem amazing and fairly priced . Which leads me to the question ... What are we doing so wrong in this country ?

Yeah I think any travel anywhere in the world is always a good way to think back about your own country, have drawn comparisons good and bad with so many places and back home over the last year and it's always so interesting going back to the UK after several months away. Kind of get a reverse culture shock a lot of the time

Well done for being careful with Russia. Everything I have seen is that when you are there you are welcomed by everyone and hardly ever does anyone have an issue with you, police included. However the tensions are too high and the fact you walk into their land with a camera is enough for them to pull you in for questioning and you never know what could happen currently. I can kinda understand their worries, but it's also such a shame as the land and people have always interested me given how vast it is. The crazy thing is, it was only a few years ago I can remember someone stood in Russia, being careful not to enter China for similar reasons. How the world changes.

Christianity says that "religion is a candle in the darkness." So, ALL Russian churches have towers meant to symbolize the candle and are topped with domes meant to look like a candle flame.
