When I was 3, I stuck two keys in a plug because I was really bored and my parents were paying attention to my sister at that time. Luckily the two keys had a circular keychain holding the them together so the electricity didn't go to my heart. Once I stuck them in the power went out and my parents heard me sobbing from the other room "IM SORRY" When they came in, they saw a big black streak down the wall and a messed up looking child.

i was shocked with 150 volts 30 to 50 amps while standing in water (rv door electrocuted me, the reason was because the plug that transferred electricity to it messed up so that it spreaded out electricity all around the rv) i was there about 30 seconds no one was able to help i couldnt breathe i screamed but all there was were whispers i luckly as able to pull myself off with my other hand cut my finger down to the bone 20 once i get off i crawl to my neighbors passed out a few times going there started developing burns and i lost my eyesight for a bit they call my mom after telling me its not that serious 30 minuets later my mom got there she was far away also one of my arms as paralyzed for about a week. so we went to the hospital and they thought i was fine but they ran some tests and my creatine levels were crazy high 3 times higher than an adults creatine levels should be i was 11 at the time they had to pump water into me for a day they thought i could go home so they sent me home and my creatine levels got worse so we went back and i had to be hooked up for another day and now im developing nerve damage but my mom does not beleive me. one side of my keeps paralyzing and now its spreading to the other side. im scared im going to lose everything i have worked so hard to acheive.

When I was a kid, we had a metal staircase in the front yard of our home directly to a separate second floor. I remembered it as it was a thunderous, rainy day. I was hurriedly going up that staircase when I heard a thunder and there's this jolt of electricity that I felt running from my feet up my body for a bit that made me paralyzed for a second. The funny thing is, the staircase was not directly hit by that lightning and it was covered from rain, so I don't understand why it was electrocuted.

When I was little, I was curious, I was at my grandfathers house and I spotted a plug with a safeguard over it. Just watched your video. Thanks, very informative. I got electrocuted a few weeks ago, I am on the mend but still trying to work out what happened. In a nutshell I was window cleaning here in the Uk with a carbon pole with my feet on the ground and when I lifted it up I touched without realising a three fase power line. I started shaking and fortunately my pole when forward when I dropped. My legs could not hold me anymore. I lost consciousness and my wife managed to revive or resuscitate me after a good minute or two. She said my eyes where opened and rolled back and I was breathing heavily, then my breathing nearly stopped and after compressing on my heart and shaking me I regain consciousness and she drove me to hospital. I felt like I was beaten up. I had some boils on my hands especially the left one and I literally had holes in my feet with a bit of black burns and literally burned my socks, had one small little hole on exit on the right foot and a few little ones on the left foot. I did had work boots, a bit worn out from before but all was smelling burnt now. In hospital I spent my first night in icu and my heart rate was very low and my kidneys were not working well the first night, by the morning my kidneys started working normal again and my heart was better but the rate kept going up and down. Eventually after I got home I had a private therapy and my heart got better. Now I got a lot more energy and I work again. Still recovering though. I was wondering what could have happened if my wife wasn't there or if I didn't have private treatment. Anyway things are better now :)

Lost my uncle to electrocution in the early 80's. He was cleaning out some metal irrigation tubes and was tamping one to remove a clog. The irrigation tube hit the high voltage line above him and killed him instantly. My aunt learned about it during and afternoon newscast.

I've been getting shocked by static electricity, and for the past few weeks, it's been more intense, enough to see the current from an inch or two away. I've been shocked by different sources too, such as power cords (which did turn on a clock for a second)and light switches, and also a tablet, phone, and lastly, earbuds.

I've been shocked at least once. I saw a fence keeping some horses in their pasture, and I wondered to my dad if the fence was electric. He told me that there's an easy way to find out, so I did. It was indeed electric. Dad knew that if it was electrified, it wouldn't be a serious health hazard for me, so he didn't stop me, and we had a good laugh about it on the way home.

I'm an learning electrician and got my first shock 4 days ago while installing a socket and my stupid mate put the wrone fuse in. oh and btw, Your heart is harmed at 50mA and above and when heart ventricular fibrillation accures, your heart starts beating randomly and can stop. A defibrilator can give it a controlled shock to bring it back in order, nothing else...

Yes I have been electrocuted before and it was just a few minutes earlier. I was plugging in my phone and when I was plugging it in I felt Num for a second I was stiff and I was shaking and my fingers were turning red.then my mom had heard me because the lights were blinking and she ran over here and un-did my finger from my wire and she got shocked a little to but I got hurt and Good thing my mom was a nursw so she knew what to do.

Yeah, in these situations where you get stucked and your body cant move is best for you friend to take something not conductive like wooden stick or just something plastic because the electricity can go to you friend when he touches you.

I find that hard to believe, since phone chargers convert the electricity to low voltage in the plug itself; the cable is not carrying much more electricity than what you can get from a USB port on a computer. Either you left out some important information, or you're making shit up.

I had stents put into the arteries, leading to my heart. Before the surgery began, they attached an electrode to my back and one on my chest, "just in case" my heart stopped. It did. They shocked me, and all I remember, when it was happening, was by whole body "bowed" and my face was very close to a machine they were using. I had to go back, for them to do another surgery, a few weeks later, and the people in the operating room said that they'd heard about me and glad everything turned out okay.

I've been electrocuted several times. When I was little I stuck a charger on my tongue and caused a tingling sensation. Another time when I was really little I stuck my finger in an outlet which was probably my dumbest idea ever. Another time I went to unplug a light which a mouse chewed on the wire and I got a nasty shock. Again I was wiping off the mirror in our bathroom after a shower when I accidentally touched the exposed wire on it. A few years ago I went to unplug my Chromebook from a power strip and I got electrocuted so bad that I threw my Chromebook on the floor and my arm was sore for the rest of the day. I'm honestly surprised that I'm even perfectly fine after all of the electrocutions I've been through.

Guys, it all depends on your Body Resistance (Ω), not everyone have the same resistance but for average everyone it can't go over 16mA flowing through your body. And to calculate that, u can do this: Voltage÷YourResistance×Current

I'm medically retired at 35. Commercial Electrical Foreman. I got caught on a back fed 277v full load likely 14/16 ampers (lighting) and to save my life kicked my ladder. Fell and broke my lower back. 2 compression fractures, a 10mm herniated disc requiring surgery, a broken wrist, turn rotator cuff and electrical burns are what was my early diagnosis.. later comes PTSD, Narcolepsy, arthritis, and my back will never work the same.... stay safe.

I am suffering some a severe electrical injury currently. I was shocked by a hair dryer over in London by a inwall hotel hairdryer. I felt sharp tingling and burning shoot up my arm, everything went black, when I was able to see I could not let go of the hair dryer and it was shooting sparks and fire everywhere. Come to find out later on that the hotel had bad wiring and had not been electrically inspected for over ten years. They recently had another electrical fire. I have extremely bad nerve pain and damages. I’ve had several corrective surgeries and will be having more soon. My entire right arm is a struggle. Electrical injuries are very rarely studied doctors don’t know what to expect with damages. More symptoms come up related to the nerve and muscle even a year later. Electrical injuries are horrible. I wish I had answers and I wish I had never dried my hair that day.

A defibrillator doesn't suddenly start a heart like the video suggests. It's a device that's actually designed to stop the heart. Yes, the defibrillator is designed to treat ventricular fibrillation (heart spasms) and ventricular tachycardia (abnormally high heart rate) when there's a heart attack. But it doesn't return the heart back to normal, instead it just straight up stops the heart. CPR is the most important part of reviving someone, and a defibrillator is only an aid to assist in CPR. modern defibrillators can analyze what the heart is doing and decide if a shock is needed.
