Yes, I almost binged serveral videos of his on that channel. First I though that guy must be literally crazy (he even explains in detail how he improved his self-designed aparatus etc), but now I think he is just a scrupulous sales man, as he is a shill in his crazy hifi channel.

I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned Techmoan, as he is a fairly popular youtuber in the audio equipment review scene. He hoards, collects and showcases obsolete equipment. From tefifons to cassette players, sound quality does not seem to be the most important aspect of the hifi experience for him. But rather, the visual, tactile and aesthetic experience take priority. When reviewing audio products, the way you press "play" and/or "pause" are the features he's most concerned about. A serious bonus if they include bouncing analogue VU meters. His personal audio setup resembles a shrine or an alter. An offering to the hifi gods of old. I would therefore argue that he is a pagan polytheist. Exactly what flavor? I'm not sure. For me it's a toss up between ancient Greek or Roman. P.S I am certain that you've been busy evaluating the Verum 1s with the sweet sound of Diane Bish when recording videos. When I listen to Bish I sometimes even forget my own name! So I have to therefore forgive you for this oversight and instead, give you credit for making it this far on your youtube career. I look forward to your next upload. Keep up the good work!
@wa23687 ай бұрын
Does he moan a lot?
@jimfarrell46357 ай бұрын
Yep. Techmoan is very much a man of the people, and as such, Polytheism, that most democratic of religions, is entirely appropriate.
@scottlowell4937 ай бұрын
He's a Pagan, obviously
@scientificaudiophile7 ай бұрын
I’ll have to check out Techmoan. Sounds like he’s honest about what he likes and not arguing he’s hearing a veiled lifted because older equipment is superior. Thanks for the comment.

Love every bit of this. Hi Fidelity and Audiophile are two different hobbies. Hi Fi requires accurate reproduction and just doesn't cost a fortune. Audiophiles are about collecting high priced works of beautiful art that happens to make sound. You build an alter to audio with amps, cables, separates, and speakers, the more glitzy, thick aluminum boxes, hundreds of transistors and massive speakers. Both are fun. One is science based the other is religion complete with priest that proclaim what to worship in each magazine. Amir is for sure an Atheist, following the evidence.

If he were a food, it would be frosted flakes laced with LSD. Sharur is a defrocked priest. "Make Audio Great Again!" If he were a food, it would be sour grapes. Youthman is a Klipschtafarian. Randy is the Joel Osteen of reviewers. “ This product does what it says it can” If he was a food, he'd be comfort food all the way, like macaroni and cheese. Joshua Valour is along the lines of a Catholic but with variable commitment. The warm cocoa of reviewers.

@JamesSteal7 ай бұрын
@@scientificaudiophile You know what is amazing? Buying bulk DIY cables off of Alibaba for pennies and then putting fancy connectors/braiding them and selling these cheap Mogami cables for thousands. Call it something mythological or mysterious. You make so much profit you can simply give some of the revenue to the KZbin "reviewers" you loan your cable to for review. Of course this is just a wacky conspiracy theory, I'm sure Reviews by Wave Theory and Amplify Audio Reviews are just really into informing us on how $5000+ headphone cables really improve the sound and there is nothing shady going on.
