I own this exact gun. I run the Hornaday 22mags. I bought it because I wanted a lightweight gun for when I talk a walk. Now my wife has claimed it as her carry gun. 22mag is ideal for her.

@@1Mannco The LCP generates less than 300 ft lbs of energy, while the LCR can deliver more than 500 ft lbs with the right ammo. It's an easy choice.

My 351c has a clip draw on it. I wear it back and forth to the gym. Sometimes as a secondary gun depending on where I am going. Great little gun. Lightest gun S&W makes. Feels like a cap gun which is great in gym shorts. This is a “break contact” gun.

Federal punch is great. I found the nickel cartridge ejects much better in my 351c. You would love the hamre forge as well. Check out demonstrated concepts channel video. I love it but love the crimson trace green laser even more because it’s dry fire practice all the time for me.

Recently got an LCR in 22lr. Combined it with Federal Punch...I carry it more often than many would admit, but even if you never carry it, combine it with the 38spl LCR and it's an incredibly cheap trainer.

You should step up to the .22 WMR LCR. The ballistics are more like .22 LR out of a rifle, depending on ammo selection.

Fullm4talkacket and joshklaver. I too have the LCR in 22lr, and am having my doubts that 22mag would really be much of a jump up. More so in that this gun would run me nearly 800, plus I'd have to go and spend several hundred more getting 22mag ammo (have none at the moment).

I have been a CCW holder for 45 years for work im 75 now and a heavy belt full of crap for years has recked my back and hips and I still have a whole safe full of all kinds of every cal guns I carried now its a sw 351pd with 2 10 round speed strips of fed punch ammo and a sw 43c with the same kind of ammo 2 speed strips I never feel under gunned I have seen what 22mag and 22lr do to humans and its not a round you want to take a couple of up close it will stop you faster than people think great vid its nice to see vids about a subject not as popular with all the ninjas on youtube

Great video. I have the 351 pd and is my favorite carry in a Mikas pocket holster. I consider this a 10yds and closer carry gun. I did put some lighter springs 9lb and 12lb and polished the internal parts and an extended firing pin. Have about 900 to 1000 rounds through it and 0 light strikes. It is now very smooth to shoot. I shoot Federal punch ammo. I have complete confidence in it. 22mag is no joke, it will stop a threat. Take care.

@glennsammon446511 ай бұрын
if someone does not like the grips and wants a full 3 finger hold then they may want to try the older skinny " splinter" style grips. I have them on all my J frames and I like them. since 22 mag is not kicking like a 44 mag you can handle the gun better and the pinky on the grip frame helps with pulling the trigger, keeping the gun more stable in the hand. just a thought.

I changed out the trigger rebound spring in my 351c for a 13# spring and left the hammer spring(the one that matters for popping the primers) and it lightened up the trigger pull a bit.

If you are going to carry a rimfire, the only improvement I would suggest is a 3" barrel. If you can carry a 2" barrel, a 3" adds MV and improves sight length. This would also make a better KIT GUN for sportsmen.
@falseprofit9801 Жыл бұрын
Why a J-frame with an internal hammer? Because it gives you options. The small size & feather weight means it can be carried *in addition* to or instead of a better handgun. As an added bonus if it’s in a pocket, you can acquire the grip preemptively to be danger-ready without having to commit yourself. On top of that, you have the option to fire through a jacket pocket if you’re already *hit and/or there’s no time to take a better shot.

At least get a speed strip for this. It's a convenient way to carry a reload, and it's still quicker than reloading with loose rounds. It's good to be able to quickly top off if you've only fired a few rounds.

Does your cylinder release have any up and down wiggle? I’m looking at a used one, and that’s the only thing that seems off. The screw won’t tighten anymore, so I’m worried there is something else at issue.

Anyone know if this is smaller Than a ruger lcr?
@jackgreenstalk777 Жыл бұрын
Smaller and lighter
@schwedr Жыл бұрын
The 43c 22 lr and the 351c 22 mag are just slightly smaller than the ruger lcr mostly because of the grip but the lcr is just barely at all a little more bulky in the frame. Because of the grip on the lcr it might be considered better to shoot for some people but the other two are easier to conceal or pocket carry than the lcr. They are also lighter than the lcr. I had the S&W 351c 22 mag and wish I never got rid of it. I have the lcr 22 lr and would never try to pocket carry it unless I change the grip on it because it’s just too big although some people do. They are all good guns for what they are but the lcr 22 lr does have a very long and heavy trigger pull on it but it’s smooth not gritty. Some people like it and others don’t and would prefer the trigger pull on the S&W. It’s a matter of preference.
@ericoberlies753715 күн бұрын
A little thinner. The trigger pull is noticeably heavier. It’s about a $100 more than the Ruger. I was just looking at both here in Sacramento, California.
@FreeBayArea15 күн бұрын
@ericoberlies7537 I ended up getting a ruger lcp max 22lr. They added it to the roster soon after I made my original comment on this vid. Runs great no issue, just use full power 22lr, the weaker stuff doesn't cycle well.
