Personally I think it's dumb because after awhile you'll just run out of things to do. Everything will become too boring and there's nothing you would be able to do about it. Plus you'll eventually outlive everybody that you know and love. And assuming that you can't die at all, everything else. You will be the last living notable thing before and after the sun explodes.

Honestly the "but you'll outlive everyone you know" argument doesn't completely convince me. As long as humanity exists, there are people to meet and pass your knowledge onto. There are so many things you could do, and so much good you could do as long as you can accept the responsibility that comes with it.
