A nice add-on for Tesla would be to adjust the range based on Trailer Mode and trailer weigh/size/width/height. It wouldn't be 100% but close enough to reduce range anxiety especially in remote areas of the country.

Thanks for posting and doing all of the work organizing the event. Kristine and I both had a great time. She was surprised at how much fun she had with all of us nerds. Hopefully we can make it next year but the Denver to Montrose may be a stretch with our current set up. I will put it into A Better Route Planner soon to see if it is possible prior to getting our Cybertruck.

I want to tow 6000lbs with my 2022 Model Y performance, don’t care about range. but what’s going to break if I do it? haha

Your front wheels will come off the ground. You need to keep 10-15% of the towed weight on the tongue for stability. A 6000lbs trailer will need around 900lbs on the hitch, which is triple what Tesla rates the vehicle for.

Love the event but OMG 🤯 please invest in a wireless microphone, it can be clip to your guest shirt while speaking! Listening to them speak is unbearable. Have you watch entire video before uploading?😅
