You have all been coned into thinking these vehicles are zero emissions. When in reality the production, disposal and accident fires of the batteries pollute the environment with bis-FASIs a dangerous PFAS chemical that has been named a forever chemical. It never breaks down and stays in the environment forever. So how they say they are environmentally friendly is just a joke.

Let it be known that EVs require constant electricity flow to charge their batteries, and the majority of campgrounds’ electrical pedestals do not have this capability.

Omg…. 81 cent a kw…… I get 5 cent a kw at my house charger for my Tesla. Holy moly. That like 40$ a charge… vrs 2$ I never worry about charging with Tesla. Never have…. Home level 2 charger is a must. If you going ev… Then you won’t have to worry about even going gas station. Or charging station like this guy…. My house charger is 48a charger too. So it will charge the Tesla fully in 6 hours or so.

Depends on how you like to vacation, and besides, not everyone who vacations tows cross country. If you do, this technology isn't for you yet-stick with a diesel as our current infrastructure better supports that, especially in the plains and Rockies (All Electric Family proves it can be done, but I recognize this isn't for everyone). Otherwise, stopping maybe once or twice before you get to your destination isn't that big of an issue as most folks travel to campgrounds near their home.

My time is worth something, I have an extended range tank on my SUV and can get 600+ miles per tank while towing a light camper trailer or 800 miles per tank without, I can drive from Seattle to Salt Lake city without ever having to stop for gas....my landcruiser also costs half as much as his EV SUV does, I have 30k into my landcruiser, 30k to 50k will buy a lot of fuel.

@@rantional8180 That may be true for you. The rest of us take bio breaks and stretch our legs. Driving 800 miles straight and you become a danger to everyone else. Give me a break.
@rantional818019 күн бұрын
@@kelviskelvis7140 lol, I certainly take breaks, you misses the point, the guy has to stop at a minimum of 30mins every 180 miles to recharge, he'd be adding a mandatory 2 hours to his trip just to charge up, I have the option of stopping at a nice river or lake, going on a little hike along my route to get a break but this guy is having to stop at designated locations that have a rapid charger along his route...as if there's not a rapid charger then he's there for 4 to 8 hours to top up his battery...point being, my breaks are at my leisure, his breaks are at EV charging stations and his route is bound by his needed infrastructure... I once had a very good time driving 160 miles off road across Nevada, following the old California gold rush trail through the black desert and the death route section of the gold rush trail. I didn't see another soul for almost 2 days... Like sure, the EV truck thing is fine for some people who are staying on the beaten path and fairly close to home, it's just not for me and would hate to be spending my time walking around a parking lot instead of actually enjoying the road trip.... Honestly, the fact I had to explain to you the logistics of the differences here sat more about you than me, try using you brain a bit...just don't hurt yourself trying to think to hard! Lol

@jacobcambell20 күн бұрын
You technically could, but for the amount of watts needed to charge the EV at a reasonable speed you’d need a pretty beefy diesel generator. Which at that point just use an actual diesel truck
