ABOUT ME
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there, welcome to this channel!
I am an Indonesian female solo traveler, who started solo traveling in 2013. After working for the government till 2016, I left Indonesia to pursue full-time traveling and to document myself as I explore different cultures as a solo female.
Having initially traveled for 5 months throughout Asia, I moved to China in January 2017 for an English teaching job, which was my first experience living abroad.
Since leaving China in 2018, I have taken the move to become a full-time KZbin creator and traveler. I strive to create unique, culture-driven content and capture authentic interactions as I travel.

Wow, Syifa. That was your best video yet, in my opinion. Very beautiful editing with much respect to the couple. As much as I love to see you in your videos, this one worked very well with you as an observer, giving others the center stage. Best wishes to the newlyweds.

Syifa Adriana Excited. My pleasure.Try to stay, don't go, China needs you. You are the ambassador for Sino-Indonesian friendship and like my beloved former Chinese president, Jiang Zemin once said, promote mutual understanding between our two countries. I like to watch every your vlog especially, in China. Please neglect any bad comments and keep it up.

Thank you Karima! It was a beautiful wedding. Steve isn't sort of a person that shows much of emotion that's why when he cried I also teared up :) I am so glad that you learned a lot from a single video. Hope that you will be invited to a Chinese wedding one day.

Hi Vinny! Yes, the perfectionist me didn't like the footage quality, even when editing this I didn't expect much. However, I forgot that the main content of this video is the story of Steve and his bride. I am so glad that you enjoyed watching this. It seems like an approval coming from someone who watches a lot of vlogger in China like you :-p

Very Beautiful Video. Is this a Christian Wedding? I notice that in Chinese Tradition Groom's Family gives some Dowry? In North East of India People of Chinese Decent follow the same tradition. Thanks for the Video. Take Care.

santoshsarkar im prettu sure chinese people do. They are not going to show to everyone and shove in everyones face how much they are giving to the brides family. I think thats why it wasnt shown. Im not 100% sure but logically wouldnt dowry be given personally and priavtely to the other party and not listed to the public in the wedding ceremony?

Kaipin Low Thank You so so much for the reply. God Bless the newly wed couple. I am from India and Hindu, but Yours and ours Wedding Ceremony is similar. Too much of food is arranged. Clothes for all the Relatives. Thanks again. Take care. Regards.

santoshsarkar, yes, in historical term, the groom give the dowry to the bride's family. For recently decades, it's most as a tradition symbolic only. Some bride's family require the groom financial secured, such as the property ownership belong to the couple as soon as married. I think that are also applied other countries.

Wow the bride is so beautiful! I have a hard time accepting traditions rooted in ownership of women. It seems so archaic. It also seems very expensive. Rather spend the money on a down payment on a house. But it looks like everyone is having fun for what it is. Are they all drinking?? He he.
