Never been on a race track with your car? Ride on board with us and see how things typically go on a track session, it's something every driving enthusiast must experience but many often talk themselves out it - I know because I used to do that, too. It doesn't take much to set yourself up for a good time, do it before it passes you by!

Thanks for the video, man! I'll be going to my first track day ever at Donington Park GP next month, really great to hear your talk and see what it will most likely going to be like.

Good Luck, just treat everyone else with caution, it's so easy to get carried away and have an incident, because track driving is so awesome

Awesome video and I agree, you have to go and do it! I would say hi-temp brake fluid + track brakes is a must! You will boil standard brake fluid, and you will ruin street brake pads quickly. Those are absolute musts. Nice tires are next. Although, I did best a lot of cars having all-season tires when it rained once. Just say'n. But it's all fun!

You have the perfect narrating voice. You also sound like Noel Fielding. Lol.

100% true once you've driving fast on a track you realise driving fast on the roads isn't driving fast 🏎️

No offense but what is up with the UK and hot hatches? Personally I just like coupes but it seems like everyone has hatches, are they really that much more practical?

Had an AP1 S2000 once, it would've been great on-track but it was an annoying daily driver. I had an MX5 before it, and I sold it for another MX5. SO handsome though, jeez.

Am definitely in the market for a test very soon. Race licence done now, too. Pass on the costs of a test day (open to shared test time, too) over on Discord!

I never been to a trackday yet, so I have a lot of questions... But think it's best to ask one at time... 😁 You lift of the accelarator to let the faster cars pass or just keep your speed but leave de fastest line for then?
@dannyleeracing

The safest option is to let them pass on the straights, many circuits instruct you on the 'agreed' overtaking signal, e.g. on this Donington Day, you must indicate to the right and move to the right, allowing cars to overtake on the left. This basically means you can't overtake a slower car unless they acknowledge you as they have to move over to do so. It can be dangerous just to lift off the accelerator as the car following you will not see any brake lights, so you are better to keep your speed and slow down to help them pass when they are alongside you. But best advice of all is to just do what the track officials tell you to do, each track may be different with their rules and any official will be happy to answer any questions, too!
