Nope. Since Eleanor! More like Eleanor than Jackie! 💙
@elenalatici95682 ай бұрын
I said EXACTLY the same to two friends. Michelle &Jackie. I wasn't alive for Eleanor Roosevelt. I only know what I've read, but not experienced. I have experienced Jackie and Michelle, and have even met Jackie on several occasions when she came into the ski shop I was working in when I first arrived in NY in 1972. Opposite of what many probably thought about her when she was First Lady, she was down to earth, didn't suffer fools gladly, and was kind. I've never met Michelle, but I think it's obvious that both of those qualities apply to her as well. Both women were/are supremely intelligent, not only intellectually, but emotionally. I consider myself immensely fortunate to have lived at a time to have experienced both of them. Michelle's speech made me cry. It still sickens me deeply to have witnessed the appalling, vile and vicious racism thrown at them as well as every attempt by trump and the Republicans to dismantle and destroy completely their legacy. I love that trump must be confronted with his massive failure to do that. The importance of the Obamas legacy grows daily. How lucky we were to have them, and how lucky we are to still have them

Most of those Racist Dixiecrats Members of the Democratic Party left the Party. They moved right on over to the Republican Party. Why? Because the Republican Party was much smaller back at that time and those new Racist members of the Republican Party would have much more influence. The Republican Party wanted power. So they excepted those members and pushed their Southern Strategy. It's now fully completed. If you look back at a map of Red States and Blue States from 1959. Then look at Map today. It's almost completely flipped. Now with Red States in the South. When they were once all Blue. Texas, Kentucky Birthplace to the Klan, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, were all once Blue States.

I wish the speechwriters at the convention had put more emphasis on: 1) Patriotism. One of Kamala’s best lines in recent rallies was “It is the highest form of patriotism to fight for the ideals of our country.” MAGA co-opted the word but they worship someone who is anti-patriotism and stands for none of its ideals. 2) Reminding people to regularly check their voter registration. Many Republican states are jumping through hoops to cheat, and one of those ways is by deregistering Democratics by the thousands. This would’ve been a logical place to let people know who are unaware. (A link to a list of things to be aware of would’ve been ideal.) 3) The importance of the down ballot, keeping the Senate, and getting back the House. Everything was about what Kamala will do, but she can’t do it alone. There was so much about what she will do as President that you would’ve thought the Republicans had been in the WH for this past term. If she’s gonna succeed at all the things they put in the speeches, she needs both Chambers, which is why Biden was stymied. And this wasn’t emphasized enough and made Biden look bad, imo. 4) Not just the dangers of trump, but of the Republican Party, because if he doesn’t make it to November for some reason, many never-trumpers may jump right back to their party, believing it’s safe to do so. EVERY time they hammered trump, they should’ve included the entire party.

Tim is right - we need all Never Trump Republicans out there nonstop from now until November. ALL HIS CABINET members that saw how dangerous he is - SPEAK OUT NOW!!!

Mitt has no balls. He is an elitist with little substance.

He was the only Republican to vote impeachment. he knew there was a storm coming for him. so I dis-agree.

@@wisconsinfarmer4742 If he was gonna commit then do it 100%. This is his chance to help 'impeach' Trump the candidate. Where is he? Where is Liz?

They usually wait until they are no longer running for office which is sad. I also want to hear from them. No sitting on the sidelines. Pick a side. Is it your country or worshipping a fraud like Trump?

Harris/Walz is doing interviews. Just NOT with MSM.
@Papillon_20102 ай бұрын
Agreed. I love what and how they are communicating. Media is in it for profits now. I don't trust any of them. Turn on the cameras and get out of the way. We don't believe you anymore, MSM. You profit from Trump making headlines so you cannot be objective and take your thumb off the scale.

Thanks, Michael for being a Debbie Downer. The media needs to stop the BS! Stop both sidesing it.

He's right about the BS; Trump told a big fat one on yesterday. He said Kamala met with Putin before he invaded Ukraine.

He is not being negative, the gop is gearing up to rattle as many people that it can. The convention was amazing the gop has to destroy that feeling. Be prepared! Stay joyful!

@@wisconsinfarmer4742 I just meant we already know T is going to become more and more outrageous and it’s going to get ugly. The media needs to stop normalizing him like they did in 2016. Call him out for the dangerous wacko that he is. Tell the truth instead of always covering the circus. They have played a part in why no matter what outrageous thing he does, they blow it off and so other people do too. We deserve better from our media than people who just want ratings. They know he’s a cash cow for them.

To hell, with ex-Republicans Harris doesn’t need them ,the question is Where were they when America needed them? Trump has always been Trump…. period.
@fdm21552 ай бұрын
Not true. Harris needs disaffected Trump voters, she needs inconsistent voters, she needs new voters. She needs everybody she can get and then some because the GOP is already gearing up to put a collective thumb on the scale for Trump. We need to win by margins that are too big to close with shenanigans.

I hear you. The Republican Party is our enemy right now. But it's all-hands-on-deck time, and a vote is a vote. Remember, Trump only lost by 40K votes last time. That's a sneeze. A light breeze. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!
