How about incentives like Free Cable Cars for a year, or promotional thru various tour industry groups ala hotels, shopping clubs, etc.??

But where does the money come from? For cable cars. Maybe they can do "Free Fridays", and that can continue. Even if it lasts for 7 years (about 364 "Free Friday" days), that's actually about the same days as a whole year. But if it's only the first year whole year, just like the grand opening restaurants' huge promotion and free dishes, when they're not free people will be gone again. Too many options out there.

How about more free MUNI rides to get around after partying up at the new open street drinking system of pub crawls. solve the homeless issue, that will in turn take care of the drug issue... affordability won't be up to local government.. landlords know what bay area is about... greed will not go away. try to add police to the shortage and with all of that, you might be able to revive the city in 5-10yrs. obviously, this is only a high level shortlist... but it will have to start somewhere.

Actually, Lurie has stated multiple times that he won’t discuss Trump and that he won’t let their policy disagreements get in the way of doing what’s best for the city. Quite a change from Gavin Nudesom and Rob Buttha.
