i think we've all said things we regret, or don't think through 100%. the difference between us and samantha is that a lot of what she says is posted online for people to remember forever. it would really suck if something you said was brought up against you when you decide you would rather take it back. we're all human and make mistakes, we hurt others on accident and we hurt ourselves in the process. none of us know what goes on behind samantha's closed doors. i 100% understand what she's done wrong but i don't think this should be used against her. just a thought

What you don’t understand is that this isn’t a “one weekend” thing....people have literally been commenting since November that you need to cut back on drinking. You said during vlogmas that you were going to take a break from drinking in January. It’s almost March and you’re going harder than ever before. You need to re-evaluate who you are hanging out with and surrounding yourself with. You feel as if people are just “hating” on your friends but you have changed drastically and the only thing that is different is your friend group. You become who you spend time with. EXACTLY! When she started doing all this, and I'm not a young viewer, I'm 43...I was cringing. All of the comments she has made during this video are the common excuses that someone makes that does have a problem and is in denial. I just went through this with my partner. I absolutely love him and he is one of the most wonderful men I've ever met in my life, I've been with him for almost 5 years. However, saying that, I did not know when I met him how much of a drinker that he is. He drinks every day. Just recently I confronted him about it and told him if I had known he drank this much when I met him, I may have changed my mind in being with him. He keeps telling me he has to drink or nightcap as he calls it just to deal with people or to deal with what he does for a living, etc. That is an excuse. I had never had to deal with someone that drank so much before. It has turned me completely against drinking whatsoever and I've never had an addictive personality. If I want to quit something, I simply do it. So, I don't even have a drink occasionally anymore. I am still determining what I am going to do about my current situation, but I can say if I experience another episode like my partner did recently, the decision will be simple. I'll move on.

This is so true! It’s so important to realize when certain people you’re close to aren’t adding value to your life. Good friends are suppose to bring you up, make you a better person, care about your wellbeing not tear it down and encourage bad habits like drinking. I completely agree that your friends are too young for you. They are at the partying stage in their life and you’re probably at that point where you just want to settle down. You need to move on from the superficial partying stage and blossom into an adult. Alcohol is a depressant, so I totally know the feeling of waking up feeling terrible and sad -- I've been sober for 4 years and highly recommend trying it out. I lost myself in alcohol in my early twenties and also lost my father to alcoholism. It really easily gets out of control especially when anxiety/depression are a factor. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I’ve never felt more relatable to you than in this video.. I make so many mistakes, all the time.. some very minor, some very major.. but everybody’s heard, “learn from your mistakes”. And boy has that become my constant doing moreover it being just a cliché piece of wisdom.
