I adore the lace trims! They're so pretty and will look great with the dress! I have had the same experience as you with the sew alongs for Norris Danta Ford and Julian Creates, both. For example, I ended up ruining a welt pocket the first time I tried to make the pants because I wasn't paying attention to the directions and put it in on the wrong side of the pants, and not the front, and Norris I think assumes you know that tidbit and didn't mention it. I totally don' t blame anyone, but it taught me to use the sew alongs as a guide and stick to the directions. I have learned some great short cuts by watching their sew alongs, and they definitely know what they're doing. It's me who doesn't know what they're doing! :D

I've made the stretch n sew shorts and slacks a couple of times. They work beautifully in Joann's Refined Ponte. What you think are stitched lines down the front are actually just pressed creases like you find on traditional trousers.
