So happy to see your gorgeous face! Can't wait to watch the whole video

I appreciate that you didn't want to be apart of the crowd that was doing it for show. The work that you're doing behind the scenes matters too. Don't be disappointed in yourself. Social media posts aren't everything and it definitely became gross because so many people were simply posting things because it's the trend. I'm happy you're doing okay ❤

I’m so happy that you’ve broken your silence on the movement. It’s so important as an influence to use your platform in a way that can bring change. So happy to see you filming again also!

I think that the military injustices need to be mentioned. Is sexual abuse something common that happens in the military? The kidder of Vanessa Guillen and other soldiers something that isn’t important to talk about?
@EloraJean4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. This is something I have been more interested in seeing the Department of Defense and individual military branches respond to. I'm sickened to think Vanessa's case may have been pushed under the rug had it not been for the outpouring of media attention. How many men and women has this happened to before? Just because I'm in the military, doesn't mean I understand it or have an inside scoop, unfortunately. It's so important to talk about this, and to serve justice to any perpetrators. There are statistics and case numbers released annually by each branch in regards to sexual assault or rape I think? So I'm curious to look into that information myself.

You're back! I'm so excited! I guess I subscribed right after you left because I was stoked to find your videos and then there weren't any more coming out lol. Also, not that it matters, but I actually LOVE that you "take forever to get to the point." Your longer videos are the ones I love the most because they feel more real and usually have some really helpful hidden nuggets. Anyway, I'm just glad to see you back and to know you're doing well.

Glad you're back. Welcome back. As a follower of your channel you never need to explain to me your reasons for not choosing to not speak up on BLM and all the fall out from George Floyd's murder or even taking a long break from social media. This world is super stressful right now, you deserve your own time. I appropriate your honesty in feeling like you did not just want to be perceived as jumping on the racial justice bandwagon (if that doesn't sound too harsh, because I do support the BLM movement). You're awesome! BTW, you're not loosing your sense of humor, you're maturing in a crazy, ubiquitous social medical world. Setting boundaries is a very mature thing to do. IMHO

Keep in mind that a member of the military who participates in political protests or riots or screams disparaging remarks at the U.S. President will soon be booted from the military.

I took some time to really think of everything you said. I reacted in a similar way to the situation in the world right now, and the injustices. I felt shame too for not reacting outwardly but rather working on the changes I could make in my personal life. I think there's something to be said, however, to the fact that you didn't put out any content to distract from the cause. I don't think you should feel shame as you do, because I did learn from you on twitter. The space you could have taken up on KZbin was left for POC to be heard, and I think that's worth something. I'm happy you're back, though!

Don’t beat yourself up for keeping your activism private. Yea, maybe you could’ve shared a few resources here and there, but most petitions and fundraisers went viral on A LOT of other social media so your audience was likely to find them. It should be their own responsibility to educate themselves and their peers anyway instead of relying on public figures. If you helped, great, but it’s still on them. I totally respect your worries that you would’ve said the wrong thing - it can be really disheartening to stand up for something you believe in and then people tell you you’re not fighting for the cause in the “right” way. If your actions are not enough for others, that’s their problem. You did your part, which is a hell of a lot better than doing nothing.
