What's behind the string of tornadoes in the US and could Canada see similar?

The U.S. has seen what feels like an outbreak of tornadoes in recent weeks, with very little sign it could let up.
In just the past week more than 100 tornadoes have been reported, which is about the same number Canada sees in an entire year. That has some wondering if similar outbreaks could wreak havoc north of the border.
So, are we seeing an unusually high number of tornadoes and should Canada prepare for a more active tornado season? Sean Previl explains.

The formation of tornadoes involves the convergence of warm air in the updraft and cool air, causing a rotating wall cloud to form. This leads to the development of a mesocyclone, which draws air from the ground and eventually creates a visible condensation funnel that descends, forming a tornado. Many aspects of tornado formation, such as the precise role of downdrafts, temperature, and moisture, are still not fully understood.

I would just like to point out the fact that magnetic north has moved over 2,000 miles since 2001, further towards Russia/China, to think that weather patterns and storm severity haven't changed with it would be ignorant...especially since migration patterns have been heavily effected by the coming *polar shift*.

Weather is behind it and Canada could see similar. There you go, as vague as requested. You know, Daily Plant on Discovery Channel about 15 or 20 years ago, ran a show about cloud seeding, little one and two engine aircraft that fly between 1000 and 15 000 ft.. Want rain? $5000 US and it might work. No, no permit or permission is needed, smokestack rule, 1000 ft is way above that. Want it? All you have to do is pay. So uh, maybe money and weather is behind it and knowing people the way I do, greed says yeah, Canada will see similar, but I am open and willing to be wrong, kinda hope I am this time.
