@@ggfnmsvids Ironically, the game has very FEW features that was brought back from the original vision of NMS! In fact the game is quite different and moved onto a different direction that I'm not too a fan of! I think I prefer the original intended game, that version was ambitious and would be magical if an indie developer could accomplish it! guess the couldn't :(

I am eagerly awaiting the fourth part of the Void Mother storyline, but I think you're right that it would arrive as part of a pretty big update. I'm pretty conflicted about what I think could actually be happening. There are so many loose ends in the lore that COULD be resolved, but I know better than to demand that any specific one get touched on. Just trying to stay excited in a generalized way.

@@BlackCubeSimulation There were a few components to it that were part of expeditions, so those aren’t playable anymore. But the main portion of it is tied up in the quest that introduces the Autophage race. That quest triggers automatically in your game after you complete the Artemis/Apollo/etc quest line.

My dream for the "next" universe update (hopefully we won't need one, but...) is that over time the existing universe gets more and more unstable. And then, after a bit, galaxy 1 crumbles completely, but, at the same time, Anybody trying to go past 255 finds they loop around to a NEW 1. Over time more and more old layers become unstable and fall apart, but as they do, more and more new ones show up. Though, of course, anybody who hasn't played in a LONG time, would eventually just wake up as if everything had been reset instantly... but the folks who were there, we had an option to RUN FOR IT... to RUN FROM THE END OF EVERYTHING... possibly with black hole stabalizer that lets us jump multiple...

@Dave_Langer certainly possible. I think it's more likely purple systems will come with a larger update, but this assumes this update is small, which we don't really know for sure.

The Answer is -- They are bringing back Expedition 13: Adrift for the Halloween holiday. The hint was the "curse" emoji sent once, then three times -- 13. The expedition featured a cursed ship that could be obtained as a reward.

Reading the first line I thought you're way off. But there's something about that. I mean, I doubt they'll do that, but it intriguing.

@@ggfnmsvids They've done this before, bringing back several expeditions (with abbreviated time frames) during holiday periods to allow players to obtain rewards they missed. Letting players earn a ghost ship available from #13: Adrift seems a sure bet given the 1 - 3 emojis, nevermind that players described that expedition as "spooky" and "haunting" because of the empty space stations and derelict freighters.

@Dereliction2 of course. The "redux" of expeditions was done twice already, but in 2022 it was at the very end of November, going into January 2023, and in 2023 it started in December going into January 2024. So I'm skeptical about it starting in October...

Well, that's a possibility. Seems like a good thing to do. I don't think that will be the entire content - if it was, they would simply put out a patch and not bother with an emoji and sales on Steam, for example. What do you think?
