I absolutely love the Blackstone griddle I purchased. I prep my food for the entire week so cooking everything as quickly as possible is awesome! Go Bucks!

Awesome! What type of stuff do you prep? I'm in the process of making a food prep video and need some ideas. Go Bucks!

Chicken on the griddle is my wife’s 2nd favorite meal. Your tip cutting the boneless breasts into two thin pieces makes it easy to griddle cook. No cover needed.

Great points Johnny! Griddles are great but some people don't want to have to clean after every cook.

Good Saturday morning to you, Johnny. I hope that you and A.J. Hawk are pleased with the Buckeyes performance today. I learned from the best, and the best is you. During cleaning or reseasoning is a great time to hydrate so you are ready for the next task at hand. You take care of that great family of yours.❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Hydration is key!! And I don't know if anyone was pleased with the performance but a win is a win I guess.

Good explanation Johnny, I have a barrel smoker, Weber gas grill and Weber Kettle, looking to get a flat top and thinking it might replace my gas grill. I enjoy using them all but find myself using my gas grill less each year. Go Buckeyes!! Fellow Ohioan.

Go Bucks! That was ugly yesterday but a win is a win. Ya I think it's a good alternative to a gas grill, it really opens up the types of food you can make. You got your barrel smoker and your kettle which can do everything the grill can but in my opinion, a griddle would be worth it just for breakfast alone. If you go out Saturday morning and make a lb of bacon and some pancakes then watch the buckeyes win. That's a great weekend in my book.

You need both. They do different things ( and a smoker !)

This has been my first year with a griddle (love it). Now I’m preparing for winter in Iowa. Do I need to bring the cooktop into the garage for the winter or just let it ride?
@JohnnyBrunet3 ай бұрын
You can do it either way. Bring the top of it in the garage is probably the best bet. But you could also put down some oil, then parchment paper and then put your cover on and just leave it outside.

You can't say one is better than the other because each does some things better than the other. A rack of ribs on a griddle or a smashburger on a charcoal grill is going to be a disaster. Pancakes in a smoker could be interesting. The smoke flavor might be overwhelming or it might blend with real maple syrup and be awesome.

I would say a grill.

Don’t be that man or woman who thinks these items are just novelties/ the newest toys. Yes, these are the folks that drive sales for these companies, but these cooking, smoking, grilling devices are meant to be used. Use them! An outdoor kitchen. Enjoy being outside. Enjoy not heating up and smelling up the house. Enjoy spending time by yourself, and away from the wife. Oops, did I just type that? ;-) Nothjng like having a beer ( or two ) and cooking like a caveman or cavewoman. And it’s a conversation starter, particularly with the women folk who walk by and stop for a few minutes with their dogs. But that might just be me. LOL

Not trying to be that guy but a grill or bbq is really not indirect heat. It is more like convection heat when the lid is closed. You taught me well Mr Myiagi.
@JohnnyBrunet3 ай бұрын
Ya I probably wasn't clear on that. I thought I went over how it's like a pot with a lid which is a combo of direct and indirect. Where as a pellet grill or smoker is more indirect like an oven. I agree a grill isn't 100% indirect it just has a lid which helps create semi indirect.
