What a great comment on 'emptiness' at the end. Often concepts in Buddhism and meditation are hard to describe in words, and for beginners it can be discouraging when you don't completely understand right away. Be patient with yourself if you are a beginner. And thank you Mingyur Rinpoche and all the others that made this video available!

Hes the best. A Master. Its a pleasure and a gift to anyone suffering if they listen to his many lectures and mind science talks you will be 'fixed'. He did it for me. Just listen and watch all his videos and understand.

I had a tibetan master for 20 years.Very charismatic. I even quit my job and went to work at his dharma center for years. Then it was revealed he was physically and sexually abusive to younger women who he made his 'closest students'. I genuinely didn't have a clue any of that was going on. It broke me to learn that. My question is - how will I ever trust a spiritual friend and their guidance again?

The vehicle that took your journey(tibetan master) maybe bad but you had a good jouney and reached meditation. so you practice and spread the good part of meditation and forget the bad part(the master)

I am confused by something. At 44:33 Mingyur Rinpoche talk about waterfall, stream, etc, and then gets to something called...spelling is wrong I believe...'shin jung'? And then comes jhanas? I thought jhanas were samatha meditation.
@chilledgamezone49503 жыл бұрын
Don't get involved in the thoughts of it all. Just observe

shin-jung( the plasticity) the control of body to reduce the irritabilty or craving .this is the first state to be achieved in meditation

Perhaps we could say that awareness is light, mindfulness is an object that is illuminated by light? Going to be a shadow, if that's the case :)
