Article 30 Protection in the event of unjustified dismissal Every worker has the right to protection against unjustified dismissal, in accordance with Union law and national laws and practices. Article 31 Fair and just working conditions 1. Every worker has the right to working conditions which respect his or her health, safety and dignity. 2. Every worker has the right to limitation of maximum working hours, to daily and weekly rest periods and to an annual period of paid leave. Wake up Americans, you are being conned. Well...To me it sounds more like the Roman empire. There were also a big bunch of super rich. But, in opposite to the US today, there was a special feature in the Roman laws and some emporers used it. If you were charged with high treason, then if you were found guilty, your assets would go to the Empire and therefore under the administration of the Emperor. The only way to save your fortune (for your family) was to commit suicide. Since the outcome of a high treason trial could easily be influenced by the emperor, the accused did not need to have any illusions. That is why the defendants in such trials were always closely monitored so that they could not commit suicide. Caligula once said about one of his victims: "If he hadn't stated and bragged about how much his fortune was (which in reality wasn't the case at all), he would still be alive today..." But such a "back door" around them Of course, the USA lacks the ability to keep the super-rich under control. And so they are where they are today...

In Germany, a distinction is made between maternity leave and parental leave. Maternity protection begins 6 weeks before the birth and ends 8 weeks (12 weeks for multiple births) after the birth with full salary. Parental leave then begins, which is usually shared between mother and father. In order to receive the full entitlement to parental allowance (approx. 80% of the last net salary but a maximum of €1,800 for 12 months), fathers must take 2 months of parental leave. However, this does not apply to single mothers. And yes, parents can extend this to 24 months, but then they only receive half the amount each month. Parental leave can also be taken “unpaid”* for up to 36 months. * You can work up to 30 hours per week during parental leave.

The road taxes you pay for having a car in the Netherlands also depends on the car weight, year, etcetera. This has to do with the environment in the sense that the reason behind different prices is to try and get people to buy younger and smaller, less polluting cars which are cheaper in terms of road taxes.

Regarding the flat rate for car registration stuff.. it could well be that there's been a decision to match the cost to things like income or environmental impact, with the extra money being earmarked to tackle problems related to that sort of issue. It might make more or less sense to do that based on fuel, but then again, where would that leave electrical cars? Not to mention that some of those environmental impacts might not be recurring, so something like a car registration which only kind of happens once would make more sense. Of course, I somehow doubt that's what is the case there.

car registration fee's depending on the age of the car actually makes sense for environmental reasons. it encourages people to by newer cars, with hopefully lower emissions. by weight also makes sense because a heavier car will cause more wear on the roads, so this is basically you paying for your own damage. but i my opinion these registration fee's should be only usable for road maintenance and not be put in to the general tax bucket.

Here in Australia the States do their own registration and it can be high. In my State it's broken into two parts. The registration is based on I think engine size/weight i.e.4, 6, 8 cylinder etc but the largest part is 3rd party insurance. If we, the driver or our passangers or person in another vehicle is hurt in an accident, it pays for medical bills, any ongoing treatment, equpment, even payments to live if you can't work, lump sums for serious injury or god forbid death etc. My regos $800 pa with about $650 for the insurance part. Cheaper for pensioners. Our car insurance is for vehicle damage which is not compulsory but bloody expensive if you hit another car without it.
@madsmatras56918 ай бұрын
@@tkps here in Denmark it is illegal to drive an uninsured car, but we also have universal healthcare. So car insurance is basically just to make sure that someone can cover the damage when an accident happens. By taxing big cars, you'd get a small car to avoid the big tax. Or by taxing dirty cars, you'd get a clean car. A good government heavily taxes the things they *don't* want to see. In other words, by getting a small, or clean car, as per my examples, you'd play right into the goal of your government and pay less taxes on top of that.

I don't agree about the car registration fees being the same whatever the car may be. It should have something to do with how much your car is polluting the environment. The European Union has implemented regulations to curb mobile data prices, benefiting consumers. Roaming price caps have reduced costs for using mobile phones while traveling within the EU. Additionally, a study found that mobile and fixed broadband prices in the EU decreased, making connectivity more affordable. Compared to non-European countries, the EU demonstrated competitive pricing for both fixed and mobile broadband services. These efforts promote digital connectivity and accessibility across the continent. The US could do the same. But with the US government being in the pocket of the big companies (trump especially). It would be bad for business to do the same.

Regarding registration fees, dont quote me on this because I don't know, but I would assume your car registration fees are sort of like our vehicle taxes that we pay to get to keep using our vehicles on the roads? Said tax is based on the weight of your vehicle and the emissions it produces, probably to compensate for the wear and tear it causes to the road network and the pollutions it causes. Which is why it's more expensive for older vehicles because they have higher emissions, now why the rate would be based on what the vehicle costs, that I do not understand at all! As far as registration fees here, you pay that once when you register the vehicle and then it's registered forever unless you scrap it, And I do not know how much it costs since I've never registered a car, I've only bought used cars that are already registered

There is an overriding pattern, in respect to employment rights in the USA, and that is that the USA as a country (where in this case I mean all the persons with enough authority, money, power, and influence to actually make decisions in it) is entirely comfortable with paying workers as little as they can get away with. What's uncomfortable is how little that has changed; mostly this attitude just been redressed in different clothes to make it more "acceptable" to everyone who isn't an employer. Nearly all other countries in the world have abolished slavery at some point; USA is the only one I'm aware of that fought a war with itself to try and KEEP it, and still uses (with reverence) a constitution with slavery-enablement written into it (yes yes, "amendments", but why even keep that old scrap of evil paper and pretend it's sacred if you have to double back on most of the lines? Throw it in the trash and write a new constitution already. Other countries already do). After slavery was (grudgingly, at gunpoint) abolished, whole new laws were invented to create excuses to arrest black people and throw them in jail, where they could be put on chain gangs and used for heavy labour. There was nearly no blowback now, because these weren't "slaves" anymore, merely "criminals" that people would assume "deserve their punishment", even having no idea what (if any) crime they were arrested for (one of the most common early new "crimes" used for rounding up a fresh workforce was "loitering"). This Penal Labour system still exists today, where workers have no rights or legal protections, do dangerous, heavy labour, and are paid either nothing or pennies on the dollar of a fair wage for the same job. It's still 100% Slavery... you just don't care about THESE slaves. Undocumented workers. Smuggled in, essentially held hostage at their place of work (helps if it's distant from major city centres, like farms and large factories) their passports and identification stolen, money promised but never paid (or paid a small fraction of the legal minimum wage... which is a number they'll never learn about) denied education about any of their rights, denied safety equipment, denied proper training, denied access to information of any sort that might confirm for them the obvious that they are not being treated fairly (or rather how incredibly illegal it is for them to be treated THIS unfairly). Again, slavery by another name. Commonplace in modern USA. Employment rights, freedoms, and standards... I won't list all these (most are in these videos already) and how far US employers will go to avoid paying for anything considered a basic legal right of employees in nearly all other countries (and codified into law, rather than left to the whim of employers). Money is valued over quality of human lives to an almost inhuman degree, but it's considered "normal" in the US, because large industries have lobbied (i.e. bribed) their politicians to pass labour laws that boil down to they can do whatever they like with their employees. Discussion of salaries is taught to be a terrible taboo, extremely rude or even directly banned by employers on threat of firing (which is very illegal by the way, even in the US)... but all that is nothing but propaganda from employers who benefit greatly from employees not discussing what they're paid, so the ones who are underpaid don't realize how badly they're being shafted (predominantly black or brown people, but quite honestly, if ANYONE doesn't know what their job is really worth in the current economy, no employer is going to pay you a cent more than you demand if they can get away with not doing so). This, keeping employees quality of life low to save company money, limiting rights, freedoms, etc... is a step removed from actual slavery... but not a huge step. It's the same attitude towards people, just applied in more moderate degrees. American (again, I'm referring to those with actual authority, everyone from employers to presidents) didn't actually change its love of slavery... they just got better spin doctors to convince the general public they weren't being treated like slaves, in "The Greatest Country in the World!" according to the people that profit from you thinking so. If you can't legally stop your slav--- (cough) "employees" from walking out of your factory to a better place, the best strategy you can use is to convince them, sight unseen, that other places are even worse, so they might as well slog it out here. Other "Stay here and tolerate my abuse" lies/slogans include "Racism is everywhere!" (Debatable... and certainly not to the same degree... and very possibly not against your particular ethnic group at all). Also, "If you want this country to be better, it's your duty to stay here and MAKE it better!" (Really? You? The person/group with the LEAST amount of power/authority/influence/money, bears all the responsibility to change the country, while the people/groups who HAVE all the power/authority/influence/money they COULD affect change with --if the status quo wasn't working so wonderfully in their favour already-- it's not THEIR responsibility at all? Well, if it's all on YOU, best get out there and wave a wooden sign around; that'll show them! ...or just convince them to buy tinted windows for their limousines as they drive past, so they don't have to bother looking at you while they yawn.) Huh... seems I dumped all my thoughts out at once. Makes for a long read.

I don't understand about the registration fee for cars. Is the version were the price change depending of it's age, weigth, etc, a tentative to encourage people to take less poluting car? If it is, why is the value of the car taken in consideration too?

Here in Greece it's to encourage people to buy cars that pollute less, yes.

I used to think I would love to live and work in USA but I could never live with the amount holiday u don’t get, I could never get used to politicians wanting a sick community as that = more money, the consumer way of living 🤷🏼♀️ How Americans can think this ok is beyond the rest of us! Civil war incoming?!

In my opinion it appears to me, a Brit, the claim that the US is the richest country in the world. That is true but the population is being exploited to make this claim. I am delighted I was born in Britain.

New viewer here from UK. No offence to my friends in the US, but, I'm puzzled, why do people in the US call it America? It's not. America is 35 Countries and is a continent. It is called The United States, but doesn't have a real name. Why not call it Vinland, thats what the Vikings called it 1200years ago.
@Josian-ps7fb8 ай бұрын
Canada is the country that could claim this "Vinland" name, not the USA, right?🤓
@gagada1248 ай бұрын
Wrong. Although they probably landed in or near Canada, they soon went south where the weather was much warmer and food was plentiful including grapes for thw wine or VIN in Norse language.

wow, I had no idea data was so expensive in the USA, I get the cheapest phone plan from my provider, thats $25AUD ($16.40USD), for that I get unlimited calls and text to any other Australian mobile or landline (excluding 1900 numbers, they are the ones that charge by the minute for things like sex chat etc) and 22GB of data, so that already works out to $0.74USD per GB, lower than the lowest I found for the USA on the website she used. plus I get data banking, so any data I don't use gets rolled over (up to 500GB). if I was to go onto the next plan up at $36AUD ($23.60USD) I would get 55GB, so thats $0.42USD per GB and just keeps getting cheaper the more you spend, down to $0.23USD per GB for the $55AUD ($35.41USD) plan
