If AMG removes pre-assembled and pre-painted, then I'm definitely 💯 out. XWing was a great game for casual players. A gateway game for those who are just starting into tabletop. And for those people who have no time for the hobby aspect (i.e., assemble and paint). XWing was a game that allowed people to jump right into the game and play.

To be honest, if they start releasing sprou minis instead of the pre-assembled and painted minis, I'll probably abandon the game. I know a lot of people prefer sprou over pre-assembled, but one of the reasons I fell in love with this game - and Armada - was because of the pre-assembled and painted miniatures. I don't have the time or disposition to paint and assemble

Although I'm not overly confident in AMG's capability to continue supporting X-Wing and Armada, they still have lots of content and ships to pull from that could easily print money for these two games. They could easily re-print older ships for 2.5 (Resistance Bomber, scum ships, empire phantom+ & lambda, rebel e wing, Sabine Tie) and they can easily put out starter packs for Republic, Scum, CIS. Not to mention still plenty of pilots out there that haven't made it into the game and still a lot of ships that haven't made it. Republic is in need of a large base ship and there's at least 3 options I can think of off the top of my head from clone wars alone (Eta, Nu, G-9). I mean, the content is there, its just can AMG deliver or not.

I'd love to see the Bad Batch Marauder ship. Seeing as the Bad Batch are announced for both Shatterpoint and Legion, why not their ship for X-Wing?

The day I have to put together and paint a ship is the day I'm done with xwing. We have been through enough with xwing and we are not all model builders. If I can't take it out of the box and take it straight to the table then I don't want to invest my time.

I commented almost the same. XWing is a casual game. There are plenty of hobbyist games, like Warhammer and Legion. Leave XWing and Armada as is.

I sold my collection back in 2021 with lockdowns and the change to 2.5 and companies all at once was easy to give it up. Im back now though, ordered the new starters and BoY pack to start. Will see how deep I go this time. Mainly be kitchen table I think.

I have spent way too much time thinking about this. Here is what I would love to see 1. Announce the date for the Alpha Class 2. Announce the date for the Battle of Endor pack 3. Make a reprint of the MG-100 (Resistance needs more ships) 4. Make a 2 ship ARC-170 pack that is for Rebels and Galactic Republic 5. Make a Rebel/Scum super pack with one HWK, one Z95 and two Y Wings 6. Reprints: Saws Renegade, Star Viper, 7. Have at least one 2 point limited ship per faction (Empire) 8. Make an on-land scenario pack with air support for ground troops. Example battle of Scarif U-wing, x-wing, Striker, Reaper, Ties

I think some larger ships can work better as Game Mats + Terrain for gameplay reasons. However, physical models are much better. I really hope we eventually get the ground combat rules. I designed my own years ago which eventually influenced the Heroes of the Aturi Cluster module (I even consulted on it). There is something really fun about X-Wings going head to head against AT-ATs. I think the scenario packs are the best thing for the game. I think players like more narrative focused stuff. I remember I did my own Battle of Yavin pre-COVID at my Game Store. Ran it twice to great success. I had some friends I played with say they preferred my version to the official one ahaha.

I would LOVE to see a multi game scenario, even something like a planetary invasion where it's balanced in the Armada or X-Wing phases, but one side has the objective of getting transports to a planetary objective, then their Legion force has a points value based on how many transports made it.

As a fan of the old x wing pc games I really want to see the tie avenger, and the missle boat which was designed by thrawn in legends! For the rebellion I want E-Wing and YT-2000! And they need to do a R41-Starchaser expansion for scum/rebels! And of course the reprints of the old ships from 1.0.

I’m a new player who picked up a 2nd edition core set over thanksgiving for my dad and I and promptly fell down the rabbit hole of conversion kits and pre-owned extended models to flesh out my growing collection. To piggyback on what other people are saying - the pre-assembled and pre-painted nature of this game is HUGE for me - to the point where I would call it good and just play with what I have intermittently at home if we lost that. I really just play this game casually with friends. That’s a huge draw and time savings for many of us juggling all aspects of life and is one of the only ways many of us can find time to play at all. I would also be thrilled if we could get a T-6 Jedi Shuttle from the Ashoka series, I really liked the look and feel of that ship. Maybe with the upcoming Mando/Ashoka movie…?

The battle at the beginning of episode 8 would make a good scenario pack except they haven't redone the Resistance Bomber yet so I don't see that happening next year unless they unveil them to be released at the same time to encourage bomber sales (which wouldn't be a terrible idea).

X-wing is my favorite game since 1.0 in 2012 through the great improvements of 2.0 and some initial tweeks in 2.5. But the exclusivity of scenarios and banning of half my ships and pilots have done much harm. From 6 stores in my area and 35 to 70 players at store championships and regular casual play every week ... Only one store had a tournament his year and casual play is sporadic at best. AMG was promising World invitation to store champs, but rescinded it since there were deemed too few participants at the one store. Thankfully I have a friend to play casual games with and we can use any ships we want.

Reprint and renew... I agree with Huge Ships to make its come back but beyond capital frigate ships, if added, should be something like Deluxe battle mats with free scenario rules. Sad they not even try to maintain the overall experience of the game in any of its branches... Still cant figure out why is profitable for Asmo let this game be handled like so...? If at some point they could release content with a 1.5 yr. gap between official releases, why they cant now? Theres a big lot to add at all faction hangars, from Bad Batch to Ashoka... Hope for full clever integration of all released products into current game ruleset, full catalog reprint that crosses over squad packs, faction starters and single ships exp. (Nym could be appeared for Rebels since Hotshots and Aces 1 and others too); update content aka "new" ships (in other days they would be announcing the T-6 but here we're hoping for the Marauder, sad)... They should capitalize making new ships... A visionary approach could be profiting on superdetailed .stl files as official products and a robust content plataform for the rules and expanded content... Anyway... Hopes for great 2024 for xwing and all its players!
