This is straight up ridiculous that regular hunters have to deal with this sort of thing. I have been stoped by First Nations who were blocking access to areas I have been hunting since I was a little kid. The First Nations were even armed with hunting rifles. I had my 8 year old daughter with me at the time as well and she was very frightened. I called and reported the incident to police and they informed me to just leave and hunt elsewhere. Could you even imagine what would happen if a bunch of white guys tried to block a road with rifles.

I agree, they did this to themselves. We see Manitoba trucks “First Nations” with trailers they’ll shoot a trailer load of moose and leave. We’re going to have nothing soon. They damage the population not white peoples tags

Indigenous people should stay at home and not hunt anywhere else if they are filling trailers with big game animals from places they don't have permission to hunt on and should be met with strong resistance in retaliation. Use treaty money wisely. Manitoba's provincial leader is creating racial problems since he has completely ignored the rest of Manitoba's citizens. I want to see equality for Manitobans and poachers thrown in jail.

So they can chase down moose herds in the late winter and annihilate them? Hypocrites.

@ i live in moose contry i work in it and play in it for the last 50 years I’ve seen up to 35 animals in a single area exploiting the same food source. I’ve witnessed up to 15 cows using the same small island to safely calve. So blo me.
@bullbars1822Ай бұрын
@kansascityshuffle8526 Now you are just behaving infantile and rude. They don't have traits like herd animals. Herd animals like cattle, muskox, caribou, horses, and elk stay together all year long. The males and females will remain together socialize, groom each other, and even become emotionally attached. Picking an island to calve with other cows happens to be a coincidence or something their mothers did and instincts tell them to be safe from predators. Grow up.

So instead of hunting a moose I can just go to the bar at the end of my street and buy moose meat from a native guy and get 10 pounds of walleye fillets dirt cheap while I’m at it. Tax free of course. It’s the Canadian way.

Time to move on from this idea of indigenouse rights and develop an inclusive management concept were the wildlife comes first and is only harvested in sustainable numbers by all interests

@BCHunterTV Canada created a very unequal situation when Indigenous Peoples of mixed heritage could be either First Nation or Metis depending on their family ancestry, which created different bundles of Rights. Sadly, that history and those rights, or lack of, has also created tension and conflict.
