3:11 a lot of people are confused about that gold and purple suit and trust me it's just the lighting. I remade the scene within an animation software, used the same lighting and gave Miguel the red & blue suit, and if you do that, you can quite clearly see how it was made to look like purple and gold. Also Spider-Verse's style of lighting is different.

I’ll defend the premise of Miles getting a new suit (to an extent). It’s a natural evolution where he gets his own suit that isn’t someone else’s before him. The spray paint version is a perfect adaptation that articulates the theme of the first movie, but imagine putting that thing in the wash, or having spares. He’d have to regularly reapply the paint job, so having a suit that doesn’t require constant paint jobs would make sense. I do still wish it retained the design of the first suit though. That way it would be a polished version of his paint job instead of a completely different design that just looks like a fully black suit head-on

I like to think miles changed his costume the same way an artist looks at their art after a while and end up hating it so they just change it. It does makes sense if he didn’t like the sloppier look since he was rushed but it does loose that scrappy vibe. If they make movies after the across the spiderverse duology, I hope he changes it up over and over, preferring to play around with different styles.

I think 2099 is going after Miles because he probably ended up breaking the machine we see him in before it cuts to Miguel running at him with his mask off that or that scene is supposed to be when Miles gets there considering he seemingly doesn't get contacted and given a bracket by this "organization" for lack of a better word and so the system probably sees him as a threat initially which is where Miguel goes in to intervene at first. For the rest of the movie I'm willing to bet that Miles will end up accidentally messing with some tech or whatever is letting the hub where we see all the spider-people hang out exist that will eventually lead to the dissolving of The Web of Reality or cause some sort of issue that might lead to other realities getting erased or be in danger.
