My 318 b43g isnt running good. Real ruff. 90 psi. It wants to sputter and stall if revved up. Idle its ruff. Any ideas what to be looking at. Just got. Fixed fuel supply as it ran out at 3/4. Used it for some mowing. Ran fine then would start running ruff for moment then straightened out. Put my tiller on it was going good till belt blew up (old belt that had been run upside down) got it back home and started running bad and this time not straightening out. Any ideas appreciated. Its my second tractor. My 316 bought last year was going thru oil fiercely. Mowing an hour or 2 i would have to add like 3/4 quart and it had 79 b48m in a 86 b43g tractor so i repowered with 23hp vangaurd. Would like 318 stock plus not wanting to spend alot since it will see little use as 316 mows

Everything is fixable; you just have to decide if it's worth it for you or not. Obviously for you, it's not worth it. A totally respectable position, brother. 👍🏻

If the price is reasonable, I’ll buy it including the rear PTO. I’m a poor person so I can’t afford very much but I can afford to fix things. That’s my dream tractor and I would buy it. Please don’t part it out. I will buy the whole entire entire thing off your hands if I can afford it.

There are better 430’s out there. I paid $2900 plus tax, time, and mileage. Sometimes it just better to part something out. It’s unfortunate, but at the same time it will help fix multiple other machines.

People dont realize how quickly OEM parts add up. I spent $300-+ on bearings, seals, decals, pulleys and rollers etc. for a 48" replacement deck for a 300 series.....not a cheap proposition.

And if you just junk any tractor in this condition they will dissappear way faster.

You are not wrong, however, where do you get the parts to fix those other tractors? It’s like a snake eating its tail.

I get my parts from Ag Pro. They have pretty much monopolized the dealerships in the southeast. Parts prices are high but they have a little latitude……if you’re a regular and have all the part numbers they will cut you a break.

If anyone knows about fixing these tractors it’s you. I’m sad to see another 430 go to parts though.

I’d love to save it but cost wise, it’s just not worth it.

I would be interested in the fuel cut off solenoid

Where are you at??? I have time and money to fix something like this project.

It would be cost prohibitive to repair by the time I made my money. There are better 430’s out there!
