THAT LOOKS AMAZING! I too have been using gels at home for years and yes they went on so easily compared to regular gel polish. Just WOWWWW! Stunning !

It's easier to scoop up the solid nail glue with the nail tip and kinda scrape it up with side of the pot to get what you need. And you don't need much. I LOVE vettsy. I have soooo much of their stuff and their customer service is awesome.

I put the solid gel on the cuticle area and press down cuticle first the down to top until gel goes down to tip. Don't press too hard, any excess remove with alcohol brush.
@levt2156 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Based on what I've seen in other videos, it looks like the solid gel glue is easier to apply if you don't form it into a ball. Rather, place a glob onto the tip, toward the cuticle margin, place the tip midway down the nail, and press/slide toward your cuticle. Don't fuss with trying to get all spillage removed before flash curing. Instead, wait till after flash cure. For underside excess, I use an e-file to smooth it after fully curing. I think the big benefit to this gel is that it's not a glue, so it treats you nails better.

Those dark color polishes are just stunning! Starting with the red, I was hooked in! I do want to try the solid glue, but I recently got the Dashing Diva glue gel (that's not really a gel) and I have applied my tips once and my daughter's once with it. My tips have been on 2 weeks with no lifting so far with it.

Really! How interesting. I'll look into it. I want to give this solid glue another go, but I'm pretty comfortable with what I've been using so I'm definitely more the "don't fix what ain't broke" girl. But the gels....yeah they got me BAD with those. I GOTTA try more colors.

I love your honest impressions and reviews! I have tried and fallen in love with some brands you’ve suggested! I appreciate that you use a lot of smaller brands since I am trying to support smaller companies. Beautiful mani as always!!
@carriegnails2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Rose! And I totally feel the same way. Gel polishes are harder to find at small businesses so I definitely buy those from larger companies. But dip powder I'm pretty much exclusive to small business (except Azure Beauty, which I gotta hand it to em, they did that kit well!) But yes overall I love shopping small. 🥰

I really appreciate you honest review... I tried that vettsy glue a few times and I love the application, but the spillage is a pain... Over the free weeks I got sick of the gummy spillage under my nails and it collected a lot of dirt. Then when I try less... I found my nails would lift

Thank you! 🥰 Yeah I can totally see that! I really wanted to love it. It seems like such a good idea in theory but just not as easy during application as I’d hoped. Thanks for sharing your feedback, at least I’m glad I’m not alone in my experiences. ❤️

I prefer the ENC bubble gum gel and the Makartt gel glue - it’s less sticky in my experience also the colder the produce is the more solid it is.
@carriegnails2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I haven't heard of either of those. I'll have to look into them. Thank you for sharing that! 🥰
@operachef1 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. The Makartt is my go to for doing full cover tip application on myself, although I have about 4 different brands and they are all pretty much the same. You can tell by viscosity and smell- the same. I think that companies "invent" products and others copy the formulas and/or buy them from the same (often Asian) companies and package them as their own. I've seen that numerous times over 25 years of doing nails.

Love the solid nail glue. Learning curve for the right amount to use. I clean any excess off with my metal cuticle tool with the sharp curved metal end or a wooden cuticle stick BEFORE curing. After curing it is difficult to remove. My tips last and last. I have no dishwasher so constwntly in water daily. Inlove the pudding polishes as well. The only down side is the length of time to receive products. The $$ is reasonable conpared to other products.
@carriegnails2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experiences! I did try to clean it off with the scraper end of my cuticle tool before curing but the product was so sticky it was hard to get it off even while uncured. To each their own, I’m glad it works for you! Totally agree about the shipping time. Weeks until you get the product! ☺️

Love the abstract mani!! The solid glue is much easier if you flatten the bubble over the natural nail then lay the tip over it. My one wish is that it was a little thinner, so it didn’t feel so thick.
@carriegnails2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jen! And thanks for sharing that tip. 🥰 I kind of just went by what I saw on the instruction booklet and on the videos I saw on social media, but I can definitely see where flatting that bubble would make it easier. I think you're right, it could be a little thinner!

I use this nail glue n I followed the prep etc… they popped two days later :( any advice ? I order the same brand…
@carriegnails2 жыл бұрын
Without knowing your prep it’s hard to guess where the issue is. Couple things to try: - Make sure you remove any excess cuticle from the nail bed with a glass file or efile with cuticle bit. Avoid cuticle removers as this could cause lifting. - Use a dehydrator or alcohol to wipe the nails down well. Gently rough up the natural nail with a nail file/buffer. - Use a gel primer or protein bond. (I prefer Young Nails Protein bond.) - After primer/bond, use a layer of gel base and cure. - Be sure you are fully curing the nail glue with a lamp 48 watts or higher. HTH! Good luck!

Crooked nail club member over here! 🙋♀️ I know it didn't work perfectly but your nails DO look straight as arrows! The nail glue looked kind of thick when you were putting it on. Did you find any issue with your tips sticking our more from the beds? It doesn't seem to on camera but I was curious. Also, this mani?! Gorgeous 😍
@carriegnails2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much as always Amber! 🥰 The glue definitely works. I just thought it was harder to get it right than I expected it to be. It definitely flattens out as long as you hold it down when flash curing. Definitely no thicker than anything else I've used to attach my nails. I've definitely had my fair share of crooked nails, but it definitely doesn't happen much now that I've gotten more comfortable with them!

Thanks for your input! I was following a photo tutorial posted by the brand on their website. It’s under the “How to Use” www.vettsy.com/products/uv-solid-false-nail-tips-glue-rhinestone-glue?variant=39619565944911¤cy=USD&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga1WSSepom6xrSwAhxHOQMSgR8VxdS6glYQW9L9vlblOyYF3caiSDX8aAjsIEALw_wcB I have seen it applied with the nail tip as well. I did try that offscreen and didn’t find it much easier to use that way but to each their own.
