What a delicious way to start the day, with a long chat about lipstick! Although I spent half the time saying I don' t need it I don't need it I don't need it and the other half saying if the formula doesn't work great, there are other lipsticks in the sea that are perfect and have wonderful colors too!

the YSL color is sooo good on you. Glad you tried the Sephora lippie--so many colors-I put a balm over them and it doesn't wear them off.

I've had some of those Sephora cream lips in the past, and I know they're nice. They're a little drying for me now, but if I prep my lips right, I can wear that cherry moon shade for hours. I love the shade. The YSL is my new favorite. It's just utter formula perfection. (In my opinion) Thanks for watching today.

I bought a Gloss & Glow after you mentioned it in a precious video. I got it in the color Wine Wednesday and my oh my, what a pleasant surprise! It moisturizes, it’s easy, comfortable, and the color is great! Thanks for the recommendation

My pleasure. It's such a great, affordable alternative to the high end brands that offer those glossy, but sheer lip formulas. (Makeup By Mario Lip Serum, Slip Shine from Fenty, Phantom Gloss by Hourglass, Maracuja Juicy Lip Tint from Tarte, ect.) I LOVE products like that, but I haven't found a good one at the drugstore until this one from Burt's Bees. It's still a little firmer than some of the others, but it's so comfortable on the lips! I love them. I don't have Wine Wednesday, but I might need to pick it up. Thanks for watching today.

I love a sheer formula. My favorite shade is usually a cool pink. But I am trying to adventure out of my comfort zone and try some reds. So far blue doesn’t look good on me, trying warmer red next. Thank you so much for sharing! I always look forward to your uploads ❤️ 💄

Thanks so much for watching. There are so many shades of red out there. It doesn't have to be a really bold and intense red. Look for something softer in tone or in formula. I love sheer reds so much. They're my "everyday" red lipsticks.

I love love love the Gucci satin lipsticks. I only have 2 because they are pricey, but I wish I had all the shades. I’ve been wanting to try the voile formula forever. I’m so glad you bought and reviewed this. I’m glad I’ve not gotten one. I want lightweight and plush and nourishing. BUT PLEASE TRY THE SATINS. They are to die for!

They're on my list to purchase during the next Sephora sale this spring. 😉 The voile formula isn't a bad formula, but I'm NOT going to pay $45 for another one. 🤷‍♀️

Looove this lipstick chat! Thank you for showing us all the colors. There are quite a few I want to try now.^^ If you get Essence where you live - look out for their new 'Hydra matte' lipstick line! I've just discovered them. They come in a super garish but fun pink tube and nearly knocked me out of my socks. Medium to full coverage, not ageing looking, comfortable matte. Nothing hydrating, that's a lie, but not drying either. So fun! I just had dinner and tea and you can't see any wear. They will problably cost under a fiver at your place, here they retail for 2.75 EUR. Careful, the brighter shades stain (I love it, though, because it stains evenly). Looking forward to your next reviews!

I have been pretty impressed with the essence products up to this point. I have one of their semi mattes, and I really like the lip liners. I'll keep an eye out for their new matte lipstick. Thanks for the heads-up. Thank you also for making the time to watch today, and have a fantastic week.

Thanks so much for watching. I've been a huge Coke fan for years. Decades actually. I really like the slight berry tone of the Dr. Pepper lip smackers, but I'm glad I finally got around to trying the Coke flavor. I really like it, and it makes me want to reach for a Coke every time I pull it out. :)

Thank you so much for singing the praises of Sephora Cream Lip Stains! NOBODY talks about them and they are by far one of my favorite lipsticks. I love and have so many colors (and always want more!), but I wore Always Red over the holidays and I felt so regal even when I was in a sweatshirt, leggings, and fuzzy socks, lol I have a lot of great reds (MAC Chili is my #1), and always on the hunt for more, but Sephora has some of the best reds. Chili Pepper is another good one from them, so perfect and bright for summer. Sephora's in-house products are in general so slept on, as their LipStories lipsticks are also great too. And Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker! Man, I used to keep mine in my Spice Girls pencil bag as a '90s pre-teen 😂You totally unlocked a smell memory for me...and they discontinued it? How dare. I also had a glittery one, Birthday Cake, and loved that one too. So much ❤for this video!

Those Sephora lip creams are so good. The older I get, the more pre hydration I need for them to work well on my older lips. The older my lips get, the more persnickety they become. 😬🤷‍♀️ The Dr. Pepper lip smacker is my favorite childhood lip product. My older cousin gave me hers when I was 5 or 6 because she was worried my mom wouldn't buy me one. 🤣 I remember using my finger to dig out the last of it. Lip Smackers are such a part of my childhood, and I always have one somewhere. Thanks for watching today. 😘

Just an explanation for why that product doesn't get more attention. Those lip stains had a major moment 5-10 years ago. Anyone who's been around watching KZbin long enough already has heard of them or tried them and moved on.

I love the Em Cosmetics Soft Spoken liquid lip too! I just got one color, because I am trying to be more reasonable with my purchases, but it is wonderful!

I love that you're limiting your purchases. I frequently forget how long it takes to finish a lip product. The formula of the Soft Spoken Lip Cremes are so good! I love how they feel on the lips, and want more colors!

I was approached in CVS by a lady one day (I was browsing the area where new launches are set up, naturally!) and she was looking for a matte red because she was having a 1940s themed birthday party (how cute is that?) I guess she asked me bc I was there and had a lot of eye makeup on. She asked for recommendations and I suggested the Milani Flora red which was near us, because I have loved the other shades I bought so I figured the red would be good too! Glad to know you agree. 😌 I'm pretty sure I suggested a lipliner too but don't remember which.

I got the new Hourglass Unlocked lipstick today. It’s really good - it’s creamy, comfortable, good color, and even thought it is not a transfer-proof lipstick, it does not travel outside the lips or go on your teeth. I used it without a liner, went out to dinner, and there was no mess. You’re going to like it.

I'll probably pick one up eventually, but I'm on a no buy this month. Not that you won't see lots of new products showing up in videos, but they were all purchased in December or late November. I'm glad I'm on a no buy right now because there's so much stuff on my desk at the moment. 😳 Sounds like a beautiful formula. I've always loved the shade Icon. I've had a tube of it for 15 years in one hourglass formula or another. I hope they still make it in this new formula. 🤞

I LOVE the lip sleeping mask from laneige. It's so good. I always have one or two open on the house. Are you taking about the makeup by Mario lip serum (shine stick that's super glossy) it a different lip product. Does he have a traditional bullet lipstick now too?

My favorite subject is lipstick! I had forgotten about LE Velvet Rain, too, but I just discovered I like to wear LE Velvet Rain when I'm wearing gray or dull, boring neutrals and my face needs brightening. I didn't get Velvet Sorcery and I really want it!- I keep checking but it's out of stock. I don't have any of the Merit lipsticks (I'm interested in the color Fashion, esp) or the Rare Beauty (I want Compliment)- which do you like best?

I like the colors of the Merit Lipsticks better than the Rare Lipsticks. They work better with my complexion than the ones from Rare. Both lines only have 8 shades. If you like a more matte formula (that's still creamy and comfortable) I think the Rare Beauty Kind Words Lipsticks are a good formula. (I just don't love the colors. I hope they create more shades) If you like a cream lipstick that's lightweight, you might prefer the one from Merit. Merit is $26 and Rare lipsticks are $20. I like the Rare Beauty With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm so much as well as their Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream. Both are comfortable formulas with colors that are more to my liking.

Hi. I was wondering if you could show us comparison swatches of LE's Velvet Intrigue and Velvet Muse compared to Velvet Sorcery. And then Velvet Affair, Painterly, and Meet Me In Berlin, compared to Velvet Sorcery. I need to see if I need to pick all of them, that they are different enough, or that I have to pick and choose only a few of them. This would be most helpful.

You should try the Dior Addict Shine lipsticks if you haven't before, those are sheer shiny lipsticks that won't be high-maintenance. There are lots of shades to choose and feel like butter but yet will not go out of lips etc.
