What's HAPPENED To Alton Towers Scarefest?!

Such a shame that I won't be able to ride Hex this year as I had already been to Alton Towers two weekends ago for my 40th birthday weekend and I was a bit disappointed that this amazing ride was still closed. As much as it is great to see Hex reopen, I just wish this ride was open sooner as many people who can and have only been able to afford to go to Alton Towers once this have been hoping to go on this ride during their visit won't be able to. I'm not sure if Alton Towers was actually working on Hex all this time up to now or if the ride was fixed a few months back and was ready to go but they decided to hold off opening it until Scarefest. If it's the latter, they should have said Hex will be open for Scarefest instead of saying it will be open for Autumn as it comes across as a bit misleading.

hello, i was just wondering on where i can buy a one shot scare maze ticket with my pass discount because on the app there’s no option for MAP discount. i’m not sure if i go to the box office to purchase one or not i’m really not sure anything would help.

I really enjoyed panic last year - very accesible ! Not scary by any means but very fun 👻🤡🎮👾

It was intense with the wheelchair 🤣 able bodied can hide and duck from the actors but in the chair I have no choice but to except my fate 😂😂 fair play to the actors coming down to my level to scare me 👻

I think on weekends they should have family days where you don’t really get scared and on week days there it could be more thrilling and intense

No I disagree as that would be unfair on those people who can only visit on a "less scary day" who want the scares. If you are going to a theme park during a time where it is running a Halloween event then you should expect to be scared; that's the whole point of the event. If you don't want to be scared, don't visit. You wouldn't expect a Christmas market to be less Christmassy on certain days for those visiting who aren't keen on Christmas, so why should Halloween events be any different? Towers do a decent job of containing the scary parts to the mazes and scare zones (and if I remember rightly the free scarezones of a few years ago were scrapped because some people complained they were too scary with no easy alternative "non-scary" route - there were routes available). So in my opinion, based on this (and budget constraints) this is part of the reason Scarefest is in the potential mess it is in: Towers is trying to please everybody - those who go to a Halloween event to be scared and those that go to a Halloween event and don't want to be scared.

People need to realise that there are a couple of mazes for younger ones and people who get too scared. If they are too scared to go in the more intense ones then don’t go in. Why should an event that is meant to be scary be dulled down for the fannies who keep complaining. Go on normal days and not scarefest

Burial Grounds wasn’t accessible last year :( infact it broke some of the wheelchair 🙃🙃
