Great to hear from you guys! When you go to the Grand Canyon I suggest Tatahatso point. It's just outside Cameron, Arizona. It's about a 20 minute drive offroad and leads up to a completely private area overlooking the canyon. No crowds and you can camp just back from the edge. Life is too short not to be happy. If you are tired of being on the road, it’s smart to take a break. But as you know, there is so much to see and do in South America. It’s such a large continent. 10 years ago I did it by motorcycle in 9 months, all the way to Ushuaia. And to this day I regret not having more time. So I’m planning to go back again. Here’s an idea I’ll throw out there - you may have already considered, but I didn’t see addressed in your video. If overland travel is not finished for you, why don’t you take advantage of your connections in Brazil and store the van there, head back to Aussie for the time you need to, and continue on with your adventure when wonderlust bites you again. And I promise, it will. I know of other travellers that travel like this - store their vehicle somewhere and return every year to continue their journey. Just a thought. I’d hate to see you guys regret rushing through all the rich culture of South America.

As for importing Taco into Australia, you might be able to make him a service dog and be able to fly him in with you for free(Especially since you will be flying from the US;-) You can buy the service dog stuff on Amazon or other websites. Will Taco have to go into quarantine when entering Australia? We were actually looking into moving to Australia or New Zealand, while we lived in London but because of our two dogs we abandoned the idea...Good luck and thanks for rescuing him :)

Yes, he will have to be in quarantine for a minimum of 10 days once he lands there! THank you!

I moved from London to Oz with my dog just as the quarantine regulations changed to 10 days from certain countries. As long as you can prove your dog has been vaccinated & tested clean for certain diseases within a specified time frame of arriving your dog should also get the 10 day quarantine. Glad to see Taco is on the mend & hopefully all of you will be in amazing health for further adventures wherever or whenever that may be 👍

Step out and Explore I took my dog(Rottweiler) and two cats when I moved to Australia and the 10 day quarantine was good and was a easy procedure. All was done through the airline. Qantas.
