Agree with Malcolm and Paul Keating AUKUS is a waste of our valuable cash resources that can be better used for more suitable weapons that will actually be in our national interest.

I wish there were two bigger cities near Perth within one hour driving distance especially towards Bunbury area where the climate is better and it doesn't get scorching hot.. Even at the best of times Perth feels so empty. The lack of options/diversity in just about everything make Perth feel so bland and boring. Perth+Mandurah+Bunbury+Albany area needs to have atleast 10 million people minimum.

Even joe is falling for this cold war. Here is the choice: allowing Russia has influence in its border areas vs fighting Wars with Russia near its border (this is actually the historical pattern). It is very clear which one is better. But there are always people under-estimate the resilience of Russian. Here is another key choice: allowing PRC to have influence in its neighboring areas VS fighting wars with China. US already did that in Korea and Vietnam. Now is Taiwan. It is also very clear which one is better. But US is going down the road of Korean War and Vietnam War. In short US is making enemies by denying other Great Civilizations' aspirations.
