I played the demo… they changed it a lot . It’s not like a gritty skate culture kind of game. It’s more like Fortnite or riders republic. Very wacky and cartoony. Like there’s no hall of meat, now it’s called “slam challenge” where you fall and move the body around to collect stars. You don’t even see the skater smack into the grown, he literally bounces like a cartoony ball when he hits the ground. You also can’t choose your gender, you just edit the body and you can’t be shirtless because you can edit the chest size it’s really weird. I don’t know maybe this is just the demo but a lot of it seems to just be the game

I wouldn't be so harsh, and I certainly wouldn't call it a "demo". It's a playtest pre-pre-alpha build, they literally don't even have textures on most surfaces yet. So, I wouldn't judge it in that state, the only thing I'll give you is the "slam challenge" thing, that sounds wack.

@@weslewis8081 Yeah for sure I think they're definitely going in the direction of cartoony wacky vibe. Skate 3 was a bit wacky but it had it's realism too. I think they're full on leaning into it now, mainly because of how popular skate 3 got with all it's videos about the glitches and ragdolls etc.

Ya It already sucks it’s extremely cartoony like skater xl, definitely should have took the more session type approach since that’s more of a true skater type styled game. Unfortunately skate 3 was the more popular one so they’re gonna stick to that cartoon style, fly 50ft through the air type shit instead of skate 1 n 2 style.

Here are some "Modern tricks" you probably didn't think of: More late tricks such as late 360 shuvs, body varials etc Fast body varials: allowing you to do Anti bigspins & 270 body varials out of slides & grinds Impossible variations such standard impossibles, impossible bs bigspins including front foot impossibles, merlin twists etc Flick Input to pop any trick vertically/horizontally to turn a hardflip into a muska flip & a 360 shuv into a "monster flip" etc No comply shuv bigspin variations & no comply chains e.g no comply 180 to no comply shuv -early grab variations Ski stance variations; basically allowing you to do things like a hangten manual/nosemanual etc One foot grind variations : e.g one foot bs Smith, one foot fs nosegrind etc Very uncommon tricks for shits n giggles like sack tap air, no grab bennihana flamingo stalls in transition same way you did handplants in skate 3 etc But realistically they're probably going to: -include the input to add 1-5 flips into any flip trick programmed into the game e.g tre quintuple flip -Forward flips - realistic wallrides - some parkour features nobody really asked for so you can virtually emulate spencer williams ( this lowkey this actually has alot more creative potential than you intially assumed... i look forward to it ) - realistic no complies Yep. Come back to this comment in 3 years to tell me they totally didn't add anything because what i suggested is too much work lol

I just dont get the choice in naming ut the same title as their a previous game in the same series. Its like the Wii WiiU problem, if they arent going to call it SKATE 4 then why not throw something else on it to establish it as a completely different game than the original SKATE, like SKATE-R or "Skate (Revert)" to show its a new take on the original concept of the game but its not just a sequel rehashing the same stuff with new environments.

Please get rid of easy mode and trick lining. Make the ability to create your own spot battle location to play online. Also let us change the time limit to spot battles. My friends and I had the most fun playing spot battles. Skate 3 had some good spot battle locations but the time limits were too short.

3000+- hours skate player since day one. Just finished the recent february beta test. The game is absolutely awful due to server lag not allowing you to have any control or precision over any of your tricks. I and many others gave up playing a few days into it because it was horrendous. The map seems ok, although cluttered and confusing. But, the fact this has been going on for nearly four years and there have been no significant changes other than the map has, annhilated any hope of this being anything but another EA cash grab. The parkour is also terrible and pointless. I can fully understand why EA NDA the shit out of it because they don't want anybody to see how little effort is being made towards this franchise. Session is the way forwards now in my opinion, it's just a shame that doesn't have the same amount of content or exposure.

I hope this game never comes out. I know we're not on the final product yet. but unless they can make it 4K With Ray tracing. dynamic weather and day and night cycle. Then they're never going to compete. with the Tony Hawk series, even though those games are old as hell. those are some of the elements that were in those games. and let's not even talk about the previous skate games that were created for the 360 PS 3
