But no 300+ chases won by KL , no first inns in winning cause from KL unless you count Netherlands, and he has been part of 4 world cups now in different positions. That's 3 knockout game opportunities. Once as ODI opener, once as T20 opener, once as middle order keeper. Wherever the place opens up KL is put in. If you had given someone as many chances since 2014 ( yes KL made his debut in 2014) , he would have had legendary match winning contributions

And ishan was established as keeper in Windies and suddenly in SA test series you had KL keeper. Yes he took few good ones and dropped easy ones. I think you remember in 2019 when kl and hardik were banned with coffee with Karan controversy for three months . In that period kl played for his Karnataka team in ranji trophy after ban was lifted out and he played ipl after which he got picked in wc squad. What's wrong in playing domestic cricket.
