You are up to 3,000 subs, great job 👏. At 1,000 you made the little pancakes, do we get 3,000 pancakes? 😃 By the way, we went to Trader Joe’s last Sunday too in Milwaukee. Not sure if you ever got there from Appleton.

Hey question, on your mic key gj tube, is there a drainage bag that can attach to it? I've been wanting to switch from my peg to something lighter and less pully but I have to be on a 24/7 drain

With my mic key both the Farrell bags and urinary drainage bags attached to it! Idk if there are other types of drainage bags but those are the only ones my supply company has and they both fit on the mic key

Gastroparesis-related acne is always tough to treat. Dysmotility causes inflammatory effects in the gastrointestinal tract, which trigger the acne issues. The prokinetic gastroparesis medication Mosapride has an anti-inflammatory effect which can reduce gastroparesis-related acne outbreaks. Dental X-rays always made me gag really bad, too! Somehow that gag reflex went away after my tonsils and uvula were removed as part of sleep apnea surgery.

So sorry you are struggling with nausea. I think that is the part of GP I hate the most. Thankfully my symptoms improved this week. It is such an odd disease. Your plants look great! I only have one snake plant, but it thrives being outside now that its warm enough (northeast usa)

Okay, I saw you got some cheese puffs. I’ve recently discovered cheese puffs are a great sage food for me. Our Trader Joe’s has a flavor that comes in a black bag and are white cheddar with black pepper. They are so so good. Me and my husband are obsessed. If you have them at your Trader Joe’s for sure give them a try!!

Dental Hygienist here. 18 X-rays is called a “full mouth series” or FMX”. It is needed around every 5 years, with “checkup” X-rays in between, which is usually around 4 of the back or front teeth, depending on the timeline of your X-rays. Without X-rays, there is SO much we cannot see. We cannot see the nerves, dentin, cavities between the teeth, bone levels, or possible infections at the root tips. I know they aren’t fun, but it is important to catch things early, and without X-rays, we mostly cannot. People think a cavity, etc always hurts. This is not true at all. They rarely hurt unless they are very large, which will mean you will likely need much more than a filling (crown, root canal, extraction, etc), so it is your best interest. In addition, the X-rays sensor used may not always be able to be a “child” size because it may be too small to actually capture the images of an adult tooth/root/bone levels. I’m glad you went to the dentist! The mouth is connected to the rest of the body, and therefore can causes issues with other body parts, such as heart issues, and issues with autoimmune conditions. I did my Capstone class on the connection between rheumatoid arthritis and periodontal (gum and bone) health. Don’t forget to floss!

Can I ask if you’ve noticed some patients with a higher palate and small mouth or overcrowding? O: I was born with a genetic mutation (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) where we sometimes have that and I was wondering if dentist see that often and if they are taught that connection o: maybe it also happens in other connective tissue diseases o:

i definitely understand the importance of xrays which is why i don't refuse them! as far as the adult size vs child size, i would literally get no xrays done if i didnt use the child size. They have always tried the adult first but i physically cant get any xrays done with it so we opt for the child ones so i at least can get the xrays done!

@@MsPalaa While a high palate is certainly common with EDS (I’m mostly in remission with GP, and suspected to have a connected tissue disorder, FYI), it is also not uncommon in the general population. I will say the doctors I work for are knowledgeable on EDS. They are prosthodontics, so they have more of a speciality and more education. We recently diagnosed a patient with amelogenesis imperfecta. Other docs told her she just didn’t take care of her teeth, which is heartbreaking. I am lucky to work with knowledgeable docs. I will say most docs are not knowledgeable on “rare” diseases such as EDS, GP, etc.

@@KennaKrueger I’m glad they can make that or for you. Sometimes I have to use the large sensor regardless (for instance, with people with narrow palates, but very long roots), so I just hold it in the patient’s mouth while someone else presses the exposure button. This is technically a no no, but we all do it from time to time to get the images we need with patients who cannot tolerate the sensor and sensor holder.

This is going to sound crazy, but putting salt on your tongue, especially the back of your tongue helps with the gag reflex. I actually have a pt who brings in his own salt packets! Also, you can ask for the topical numbing gel (benzocaine) to be used on your tongue and throughout your mouth to help with the gag reflex. I have had success with this with my gagger husband!!

ah, i remember the acne struggle quite well. i tried so many different topical treatments and nothing worked for the longest time. everyone’s skin and body is different so it’s hard to know what will work the best. for me, birth control pills did the trick but it still all depends on body chemistry. there are countless acne treatments so im sure you’ll find a good one for you soon! the trader joes snacks also looked so delicious. i need to head back there some time 😋

I feel like way back when I was on birth control it helped the acne but I really did not like being on birth control so that’s not an option that I am exploring right now! I am hoping to find something that works for me too!

My dermatologist instructed me to soak in a warm bathtub with six ounces of bleach put in the water. That cleared up my acne by disinfecting the bacteria on my skin. That might be worth asking your dermatologist about.

Actually, the reason your "heart leaf" philodendron has the two toned leaves is because it isn't a heart leaf, it is a philodendron brasil! I have a philodendron brasil, and a heart leaf philodendron and they are both gorgeous! Give the philodendron brasil enough light and all their new leaves will be two toned like that 👏

@@KennaKrueger Yes, I've been seeing a lot of mislabeled plants recently when shopping! Lots of times I see pothos plants labeled as philodendrons and vice versa. I even saw a pothos labeled as an ivy 😂which is especially funny because they look nothing alike, whereas the pothos and philodendron look at least somewhat similar lol.

Kenna’s brain fog moment forgot; long stem cotton swabs. If I’m being a jerk for pointing these out, just let me know, lol. But as a acquired brain injury survivor, I like it when someone fills in the blanks for me. I think in your vlogs you should include the books your reading. I’m always looking for something new. I’m in one of those seasons were I’m just reading every book about digestion I can get my hands on. I can’t remember what all your digestive issues are but there’s a non fiction I found called “ Calm Your Gut” by Cara Wheatley and it’s got some good info and mindfulness stuff. Just ignore the recipe section though, mistakes were made, lol. Also, so jealous you guys have Trader Joes, can you tell them they need to come to Canada? lol And it’s funny you mentioned how hard is to explain that weird food fatigue, I’ve tried explaining to my family by comparing it to the “turkey sleeps” or “holiday food hangover” or “food coma” but just add the fact that I feel like that after every meal even though I’m only eating half to one cup of food per meal.

oh you are fine!! i don't mind at all. i will definitely share what i have been reading! I haven't been reading as much recently as I have not been feeling well and whatever energy i do have is spent sewing but I am hoping to be able to get more into reading again! And the food fatigue is truly the worst!! Especially when it's after everything and you only eat a small amount

@@KennaKrueger Hope you start feeling better soon. Oh and I’ve been going through your video log, your channel has changed a bit over time, but for the better I think. I’m trying to find a video on when you got your abdominal tube…peg tube? I’m being referred to a surgeon about the possibility of getting one and I just want to know what it’s like. I watched the video on you getting the gpeom surgery, So I figured you might have more content like that.
