You know... I had purchased all new top of the line Predator equipment after following your page. The BK Rush, P3, Air Rush, etc. after less than one year the tip of my BK Rush had flown off after a break. I baby my gear and do not abuse it in the least. I contacted Predator and they refused to believe it was a workmanship issue. They only informed me that they would not cover the tip. I am extremely disappointed and have decided my best option is to just sell everything and go with another company.

Great advice from the Doctor! I recently upgraded from my first cue, a $55 McDermott, to a JFlowers carbon fiber cue+shaft. I'm a pretty thrifty pool player, so I just turned my cheap McDermott into a break cue by adding a Samsara hard leather tip. I absolutely love both of them now and for less than $400 I now have a break cue and playing cue.

I have the mid length extension you have and think I’m going to try it in my Predator SP2 uniloc. Does the mid length extension mess with the feel of the shot much? Isn’t the carbon fiber shaft kind of designed to go flush with the butt? User preference of course but in going to try it out anyway!

I certainly didn't notice any change with the "feel" of the hit, but I don't really care about "qualitatives" like that anyway. I only care where the CB goes. For more info, see: billiards.colostate.edu/faq/cue/feel/ The extension did add weight, but I was able to adjust to that very quickly (just like adjusting to a faster cloth or faster cushions).

Thanks Dr Dave! Got a question for you I also play a Z2 shaft and looking to upgrade to A Revo. You said you like harder tips do you use a med or hard on your Revo instead of the recommended soft. Thank you for the Super Thanks donation! I appreciate it. I prefer a harder tip, even on my Revo, for the reasons here: billiards.colostate.edu/faq/cue-tip/hardness/ I currently have a Triangle on my Revo. Concerning the preferred diameter, it doesn't really matter to me since I use an open bridge. I use the 12.4 because the 11.8 was not available at first and I got accustomed to the 12.4. All the Revo sizes seem to have similar CB deflection per my "CUE TESTING for Cue Ball Deflection, And PREDATOR REVO Carbon Fiber Shaft SIZE EFFECTS" video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d52VmKyGnKyfhsk

@DrDaveBilliards
@DrDaveBilliards 2 жыл бұрын
The call was incorrect. The shot was a scoop jump resulting from a miscue, but it was not intentional, nor did it serve a useful purpose (even though the legal hit on the 1 was lucky). A miscue or scoop jump is a foul only if it is intentional to benefit the shooter in some way (in which case it would be an unsportsmanlike conduct foul). Sanjin was obviously attempting to draw the ball.

:-) You know, interestingly, you can put and store the jump cue butt in jump cue butt socket in the large storage pocket(where you put the pool glove, shaper tool, mechanical rest, etc). Anyway, is that a 3x4 pool cue soft butterfly case? Oh and uh…I have a feel that some beginners and intermediate pool players start off with something basic like 1 playing cue, 1 break/jump cue, and 1 2x2 or 2x3 case.
