Can I recommend that you don't take the jumper? Although you will have a C-section you still will have postpartum bleeding. Nurses will also want to come and check on your bleeding so the jumper won't be very helpful. Do take a button down pj set. Get a Frida mom postpartum kit, and Always discreet diapers.

Yes, I had an emergency csection and I couldn’t wear leggings because my belly pressed on my scar. Thankfully I have the sweatpants I wore to the hospital and I stayed in a hospital gown until the day before we went home.

I'm also a FTM at 38 weeks (!) & have had my bag packed since week 32. I also overpacked with 3 outfits for myself and Baby Girl (lol) despite others insistence that I only need a going home outfit for each of us. I recommend bringing a maxi skirt in case you're in a lot of pain and don't want to deal with the pant legs. Also bring pillows from home for yourself and Sam to be as comfortable as possible! We're from NJ and only my husband is allowed in the hospital with me. He'a bringing his Nintendo Switch during downtime and I'm bringing a book to read and iPad to watch things on. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy and prayers for a safe and healthy delivery!

Alfonso & Witney won the mirror ball when our first daughter was born!!! 👶🏻🎀🏆 Definitely wear your floral robe and matching baby girl swaddle for your first pictures together!! 💗💗 And I know you’re not asking for advice but I totally recommend bringing tanks that are specifically nursing tanks. It’s not going to be easy breastfeeding a newborn. You’ll need a boppy, pillows to prop you up, and lots of patience!!! 🤱🏼🤱🏼🤱🏼 So add a boppy and nursing tanks to your hospital bag! 🙏🏼💗

Helpful things to add to bag: Nursing bra and pads, gowns are easier than pajama pants. You may leak from incision or from panty pads so more is better. Slippers are excellent. Bring a baby lotion more for you than baby. It can be dry in hospital and you can moisturize and not worry that it will affect baby. Baby's skin is so sensitive. I had 2 c-sections. I would pack at least 2 more gowns for baby. It is so much easier to change their diaper and their feet will tuck in, no worries about socks and they usually have hand mittens attached so they dont scratch their faces.

I’m soo excited for you!!! You are going to be the best mama😊 I had a scheduled C Section last year and have some insight (take it or leave it obviously)💕 You’re going to want to stay in the hospital gown or wear your own robe after delivery. Pants/jumpsuits aren’t practical even though they’re soo cute and look cozy. The nurses are constantly checking on your incision and breastfeeding is way easier with a robe. Also, baby can’t go home in the knotted gown because her little legs need to be in the car seat properly. There are soo many details it gets kind of crazy but you are going to do amazing!💕

Every birth is different! Dress to be comfy and cozy! You will do amazing! Praying for a swift, pain free, calm birth and healthy baby girl! Definitely get as many of the diapers from the hospital post-birth (you will live in those)

Slippers and comfy socks are the most important thing you packed. I also recommend bringing your favorite cozy t-shirt. I didn't with my first and thankfully my mom brought one and it was all I wanted to wear.

So crazy that baby girl is coming so soon! I can’t wait I’m so excited for you and Sam! I had three c sections in four years and oh I couldn’t wait to shower! The nurses gave us access to a big shower out of our room so my husband could help me get in and out and get clean. You will be surprised how good you feel after! The most important items that I took was obviously my toiletries, my own pillow and blanket for the bed and my robe so I was super comfortable oh and snacks I don’t know about you guys but in Canada our hospital food sucks lol so we made sure we were prepared for any time of the day snacking because when your up with baby your gonna want to eat! Congrats on your baby coming soon, Lindsay!! I had my c-section a year ago and if I could recommend one thing, it would be to buy some high-waisted underwear. The hospital should provide some disposable ones after you give birth, but you'll want some nice ones for when you're home. They would have me put a pad with the sticky part still covered over the incision so the fabric wouldn't rub against it. The cute house coat and robes will definitely come in clutch, too! Congratulations again and I wish you a safe and happy delivery!

I haven't personally had a baby but I know plenty of people who have so heres a few things I've heard of 1. Chapstick. A lot of people say their lips get super dry in the hospital. 2. Tucks medicated cooling pads. They say what they're for. Haha Good luck! I can't wait to see baby girl! Prayers to you for an easy and enjoyable birth and recovery!
