I think that you are able to go into so much detail and do things that honestly, a lot of other authors aren't able to do! My favourite summer book isn't necessarily a book that anyone else would enjoy, its one that my dad wrote, illustrated, and published (only 1 copy of) for me when I was born and its called 'Gabbie and the Moon'. It's about me being curious as to whether or not the moon and the sun are friends as they share the sky between them, and each page has a hand painted water colour of me in different settings. I love reading it on summer nights because my dad used to read it in summer when he got home from work when I was little :-) X

It's about a girl who has to leave Scotland with her dad to move into a huge house by the sea with her dad's girlfriend and her 4 daughters. There's loads of different interesting things that happen and there's a whole book for sister.
