I think the Urban bag line is a new product line not version 2. They released the Explore V2 but that’s the non urban version.

IMO, Shimoda stands to be one of the most underrated camera bags on the market. I have their action x50 and have tried 3 other popular bags, and the shimoda has been the most comfortable when hauling gear on 10+ miles of wilderness backpacking. I can’t attest for the urban line, but their adjustable torso feature makes hip belts work properly when pertaining to the hip belt, which is almost ALWAYS and after thought for all other brands.

I love the look of this bag! I think I may have overpacked it for this trip. I do wish that it stands up on its own.

I wonder what the difference is between the 25 and 35l that makes your bag stand upright and mine not. Is the rain cover in the same location on the bottom of the bag?

@@AmesWay Its probably the size and a little different built i guess

Thanks but I believe there is no V2 version of the Shimoda Urban Explorer (UE), only a version one. Shimoda has Version 2 of the Original Explorer which is a different bag. I actually own the UE 25L, Explorer V2, and an Explorer V1. Take care.

Ideal method to use for packing your Shimoda! I wish I had ordered the 25L instead of the 20. But it forces me to pack less which means less weight. My 30L Lowepro Flipside holds all the camera gear I need for any photo shoot, but is very heavy and after one fully loaded outing I chose to go lighter with less. Which is why I make the Shimoda 20L work for me. Always enjoy your videos! 👍🏼💜💜💜👍🏼

Any reason you didn’t get the 30-35L?

I’m only 5’4 and didn’t want it to be too big for me.
