This is my first time watching your video and I loved it. I don't purchase luxury bags and I probably never will, or if I do, it will be pre-loved. But I do buy luxrul occasionally of the styles that I really like. I truly appreciate your comparisons here, which have helped me make a decision about a couple for which I was on the fence. I'll be pulling the trigger now. Thanks for this and your humor.

Outstanding. Apart from the drone (I sold my Mini 2 long ago, wasn't using it enough), we've got a fairly identical kit! Main differences are that I use Freewell's magnetic filters, and I've also got an Insta360 Go 3 in addition to the Action 4 - because I obviously have a GAS problem 😆
@HannahYoungPhotography8 ай бұрын
Haha - I know this syndrome well 😉 Also this is my faint attempt at a more ‘minimal’ carry!? How do you find the Insta360, is it worth carrying as well? Thanks for tuning in 😄

I see you use both Ulanzi f38 base and PD plate which don't match as I too use them. But, I bought f38 PD plate. How are you using them?
@HannahYoungPhotography6 ай бұрын
I mostly use my PD plate as mostly shoot handheld and use CaptureClip a lot. It can work with the tripod as well - it doesn’t lock in 100% without the locking pins on the f38 plate but it is usable. If I’m going out for purely landscape tripod work I’ll just switch plates 👌🏼

*FOR your drone might i suggest carbon fiber blades, as they makes it easier to stabilize your shots plus helps with any High Wind that might cause you to readjust your Shoots*

My kit is very similar to yours other than the drone. iPad and the same SD card holder are a must! Question is do I get a Drone or the new camera upgrade I’ve been thinking of 🤔
@HannahYoungPhotography8 ай бұрын
Tough call. It’s funny as I feel the drone is very valuable on a dedicated photo landscape kind of trip but this is like 10% of the time of my overall shooting. Therefore perhaps the camera has more value!? Maybe depending on how big an upgrade it is!? 🤔

Nice video! Heading to Korea and Japan for 4 weeks in July and decided to travel REALLY light: Sony A7RIV + Sigma 35mm f2 iPhone 15 Pro to off load photos in LR Mobile for light editing. Olympus mju-II with Portra 160.

Thank you 🙏🏻 That sounds like an awesome set-up. It is really freeing to travel light. I think you’ll be well covered with that. And the iPhone can get you out of a pinch too. Have an amazing time 😁

Great video. I assume you’re talking another bag for clothes. My problem is that I’ve minimised my set up to the point that even modular camera bags like the Shimoda make less sense. I use a Heipi travel tripod (similar to the ulanzi but with a built in mini tripod), a Leica M11 with 35mm and 50mm lenses. Three tiny 39mm filters (IR, ND and pola), a spare battery and a power bank. That’s it. I’m think of just squeezing all the camera stuff into a PD 3L sling and putting that and the tripod in a bag with some clothes. Have you ever done something similar and, if so, did it work out?
@HannahYoungPhotography7 ай бұрын
Hey Ian. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼 I can definitely relate. For the kind of trip I’ve just done I found the Shimoda to be perfect and 100% needed. We hiked a lot and needed to carry food, hydration packs and layers in addition to the camera gear which included a drone. I also wanted my camera mounted to my shoulder so I could stop and shoot easily. It was pretty packed out despite me shedding as much weight as possible for the big hike days. Let’s say by the end the snacks and fluids were all done so a lot lighter 😉 However, when I’m home and doing little day trips in to London that’s where I can go more in the direction you mentioned. I actually use an AER sling. It’s awesome. Not padded but if I’m taking my A7cII + say 40mm it fits easy with little accessories and personal items. It’s a very freeing experience too 😄
@liu74768 ай бұрын
Do you put your action 4 on shimoda bag by some capture system during shooting?
@HannahYoungPhotography7 ай бұрын
I currently don’t. But this is something I am looking into as it would be really useful. Especially for hiking. I just wasn’t sure if it would be a bit much to have one on each shoulder 🤔

Pretty reasonable setup, very similar to what I bring except I don’t bring my drone traveling, too many varying restrictions country to country, location to location. My setup is my A7IV with the Tamron 20-40, zeiss 55 1.8, DJI action 4 and its selfie stick, a spare A7IV battery, spare DJi batteries, a small cleaning kit (a couple wipes, a sensor cleaner, brush and air blower) and a Joby gorilla pod. All in a small Peak 6l sling that I use as my personal item, backpack as a carry on with all my clothes and stuff.
@HannahYoungPhotography7 ай бұрын
Wow. That’s really awesome to get it all in the 6l sling as well. How are you finding the DJI Action 4? I’m pretty happy with it for some vlogging especially with the mic addition ✌🏻
@shittytownguides19107 ай бұрын
@@HannahYoungPhotography Yea it’s been really nice! I leave my cleaning kit and stuff at the hotel and even the spare battery and even put my wallet and phone and a bottle of water in there sometimes 😂 And I just really used the DJI for the first time a few weeks ago on a vacation in Mexico and it actually surprised me! Used it for beach footage, swimming in cenotes and my first ever scuba diving experience (36 feet dive with no dive case) and it did excellent in all the scenarios.
