We always bought our kids their own seats on the airplane when they were babies--it was just safer and more comfortable because you could strap them into their car seat on the plane. I really recommend it!

Donny doesn't need to be 2 to buy him his own seat. You can get him one and put him in a car seat. It's actually significantly safer than having him in your lap

Nasa there is an extensive list online of what car seats will feat, but we have an airplane specific one we bought called the Cosco Seneca. It’s very inexpensive and worked perfectly

Jen u really shouldn't put ur kids names on backpacks or clothes. I know ur an amazing mom but things happen and a stranger could call Charlotte name and she would go to them cause they know her name. It's just safer to not put full names so no one can call them by their names. If u want to label their stuff u should just put their initials and not their full names. But great video, I love ur packing videos

I was just coming to make that comment too. It might be ok while travelling because they'll be together all the time anyway but it's generally not a good idea. Especially once they're at their destination and people know where they're staying.

I don't have children, but I do have a husband that is Type 2 diabetic and needs to have certain snacks handy and of course he NEVER thinks to have this things on hand - but I do!!! I love to pack too. My son is off to Chicago, he is 26 and can obviously pack his own bag but I couldn't help give suggestions...not sure they were appreciated but he would have forgot his bathing suit! So even when your kids are grown your packing obsession will be helpful!

You could put the diaper clutch in the back laptop area to free up the main compartment if it'll fit. 😉

Probably but stuffed with 4-6 diapers it gets kind of chunky and I think that would feel bumpy on the back.

If you ever need to free up some space, what I usually do, is bring just one kind of wipes, (the unscented/allergen free kind), and liquid hand sanitizer. If I need to sanitize something on the plane I just squeeze a bit of the hand sani. on a wipe and use that. 😉 Just a thought. Thanks for the vid! 💖

LOL! My father-in-law cleans out bags as well, but he cleans out those bread bags, that have no closing type. But then again, he lived thru the war in Europe in the 1940s so that might be the reason. They have a little more respect for food and things than younger people do.

Thank you for this video (and all your others too). I love the Bumkins bibs too, they're great. I know this isn't the point of your video, but I'm totally going to order a couple of the towels from REI just to keep in my purse to use everywhere. I am trying really hard to get away from single use things and remember years ago being at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium (your kids would love it, you too) and some company had a booth setup trying to get people to start bringing reusable towels with them so they wouldn't use the paper towels in restrooms. I didn't do it at the time, but now I carry straws and bags so why not a very small towel?

Where did you get your reusable grocery bag at the end? Does it say the brand? I have spent probably $50 ordering failures from Amazon haha. I’m looking for good capacity and long handles. The long handles are the hard to find part, yours looks perfect!

Awesome, Jen. I love the backpack. A little suggestion based on a friend’s previous experience. Pack a T-shirt for yourself in your carry on. You never know when you’ll need one in case of spills or God forbid, if your child gets sick on you 🤢🤭

Have you heard of 1Password? It's an app version of your password book. It will also generate random letters and numbers for you if you can't think of one yourself.

Please please please don’t carry your passwords around in a notebook! If the book is lost, your entire life will be open to access by others. There’s a lot of apps you can get now that will secure your accounts and details. My favourite is 1Password and I’ve been using it for the past 7 years. If you lose your book, and someone takes over your accounts, they can take over your identity...

We've always bought a seat for child #1 from 7 months old. It's been great! With #2, we thought we'd be cheap and have her on my lap. Big mistake. We can only fly at night due to destination, airline etc and I got zero (and I mean zero) sleep flying from New York to U.K. Ugh!! She has her own seat on our next trip 😊 (she's 1) PS Thanks for all the product ideas for reusable totes, Diplock's etc! 😘

Our boys are now 36, 35, and 33 as of yesterday...yes, that =three boys under 4 at one point...my husband( now a disabled Veteran) was still a Soldier back then...so, deployments meant me being sole caregiver to three boys under 4 😂. BUT, on to "packing"... When husband got stationed in Germany, they were 1, 3 and 4. He was sent a few weeks earlier, while he arranged post housing, I closed up housing here...no biggie...I was a Marine daughter and thought I could handle anything the US Military threw at us. Until, that day I headed to the airport... With three boys aged 1, 3 & 4...and realized I was making that 12 hour trip alone.... I would have spent any amount of money to make it " easier"...this was pre tablets, laptops and DS's... And to this day wish I knew the names of the people on that flight that stepped up and assisted with my boys.... Would have been October, 1991, Atlanta ..New York, forget mid stop, Brussels, Vilseck... If you were on that flight...you were a savior who taught me a lesson...
