Omg the amount of snacks I wish I had when I lived in the dorms. I was literally starving haha!
@HaileyCarvalho7 жыл бұрын
Vivian Le Haha yes gotta stock up on the snacks! You're not living on campus this year girl?
@VivianLeH7 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. I wish I did because it was so convenient. Are you living on campus for the whole four years?
@HaileyCarvalho7 жыл бұрын
Vivian Le Yes definitely convenient but very expensive! I do hope to live on campus all 4 years but I want to be an RA next year so hopefully that works out and I can get free room and board.
@VivianLeH7 жыл бұрын
omg yes it's so expensive! I've heard being an RA is pretty awesome! I hope you get the position girl! :)

@HaileyCarvalho6 жыл бұрын
Susan Schultz Yes I love it! It's quiet, a good size, the fridge keeps everything cold and the freezer keeps everything frozen! I recommend it😊

I know this is very late, but do you regret not getting a microfridge? Or how do you heat food? I’m debating between a fridge and microfridge

I’m from New Zealand and what you guys call “kiwis” we call “kiwi fruit” so all you do is cut it straight in half and scoop it out with a teaspoon to eat!

Almond milk ain’t better for you, it’s just an alternative to the calcium filled cow milk which is actually very healthy for your bones.
@HaileyCarvalho5 жыл бұрын
I don't have anything against cow milk necessarily. Cow milk doesn't have an abundance of calcium as the industry implies. Plus, humans do not need cow milk to survive. It was meant for their calves. After trying almond milk that is what I prefer to cow milk.

Emily Matthews I've recently been looking into plastic-free options (as far as reusable water bottles, straws, etc) but as for buying fruit and other food items, a lot of it is already packaged that way. Any tips?

Hailey DeMello- Try local farmers markets; they have nutrient dense foods, little to no packaging, and reduce your carbon footprint! Also, if your campus has a garden you can grow your own organic produce! If not, I keep a pot by my window and grow my own tomatoes, I’m sure you can experiment with other fruits as well [they need to be placed in a sunny setting and watered regularly]. Also, why must you buy your own produce? Doesn’t your campus cafeteria have a salad bar with veggie options?

I have one farmers market nearby that I will def have to try! There are things like bananas, oranges, and spinach that I can take from a dining hall which I do! I feel like I would suck at growing my own plants but it sounds interesting! Thanks for the help!!
