Would love to see a video where you explain the differences between different styles of ballet, like what differentiate the Russian style, the English style and the American style, what are the Balanchine characteristics, etc. I love watching ballet but as someone without a ballet background, they just all look the same to me. Hence would love it if you could do a video really contrasting or demonstrating these subtle differences.

I have so many pouches. In an alternate life, I think I would design bags. In my dance bag, I have a hair pouch, a foot pouch, a training tools pouch, a dirty clothes pouch, a personal items pouch that includes my glasses, and my wallet which is a double zip pouch format. I have a similar system in my work bag, my car, and my overnighter bag. I might have a problem.

I would like to place my beautiful black Persian cat in shows and commercials; the first step is to find Jake an animal agency and then find a human agency for myself! I do hope you keep dancing. I just bought a custom leotard from them as a way to add a mesh back and sleeves to a competition ballgown (which are built on leotards, so I just swapped it out), and it looks great. I'm grateful to you, and Elevé should be, too!

Yayy :D I'm so happy to watch this! I never really comment on videos, but I would like to thank you for your lovely channel and inspiring videos! Your channel has helped me a lot with my recovery from severe depression (and I still have a long way to go). I felt like my life became empty when I lost interest towards everything I used to like, but through your channel I found something new to like: ballet! I wouldn't really call myself a dancer though xD I train in my own room, because there's no dance studios here (closest is 100 km:s away) and I am scared of being around people. My goal (when covid ends and my depression gets better) is to attend a real irl ballet class! Thank you once more for all your hard work and greetings from Finland :D ps: Would be absolutely amazing if you could do a Christmas themed video in December!

On a similar note I guess, watching you stand up for yourself during your illness and be confident in who you were, even when your illness affected your identity as a ballet dancer helped me when I lost my singing voice due to medications and a chronic condition. It can be difficult to “not look sick” when you really really are; I’ve also found it strange to be a very young person who’s sick because it’s so unrelatable to most of your peers. Anyway, thanks for sharing

I am not a dancer but have followed you for a long time because I felt your passion and dedication, and I just knew you would be successful. I also felt a lot of parallels with your struggle and some things I have had to face and go through myself. My heart broke for you whith the whole MCB situation. I wonder if that type of traditional professional company environment just isn’t for you. I say this with so much love and respect. I think there are so many other opportunities for you to live your love and talent and gift for dance. It’s not worth trying to fit a mold and system that steals your joy and passion and love, that will always tell you that you are not enough, that drains you and breaks you down, no matter what you do. Changing direction would not be a loss or a failure. It would be victory to find a new niche and to triumph and live to the fullest in a situation of your making where you can shine and grow and be happy. In the end that’s a lot more important than beating them at their game. Please think about that. You deserve to be happy and thrive. That ballet company culture maybe just isn’t where you will be your best you. And that’s not a loss.

I'm a former dancer, my career ran from the mid 80's to 90's and I still have the same foot roller that I purchased when I graduated from my ballet school and got my first contract in 1984. Use it daily though I stopped dancing many years ago. One of my most prized posessions.

Another good one for borderline disappearing heels is a shoe with a microfibre heel liner... ref Suffolk and Freed iirc Mr Suffolk originally worked for Freed head bands - it's a head shape thing ... as for little pieces of hair - oh yes - due to my circumstances and meds i have a on going battle with flyaways dog balls totally rock for feet and the nexcare tape is fab ( as someone heavier than most ballerinas i swear by it ( and spenco gel squares)
