It's interesting to see what others carry in their emergency kit. One addition I'd suggest is disposable gloves. I don’t have a spoolie or nail file in my kit as I don’t find them necessary for me. I'm going to add breath strips though. I'm going to try and find a coin towel/ towelette too. I'm a nurse and I have a rescue breathing mask, disposable gloves, a couple of small vials of saline (for wound irrigation), a couple of small packs of sterile gauze (for cleaning wounds) and a few dressings. I also carry a bigger kit in my car with tissues, disinfectant wipes, emergency foil blanket, sanitary pads, travel first aid kit, etc.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts☺️ I might have to ditch the spoolie, you've reminded me that I don't even use it that much, if ever. I don't think I could ditch a nail file though, I can't stand when a broken nail gets snagged on my hair/on fabric! I love your kit! Now that is preparation!! You've inspired me to add sterile gauze, and I need to shove the pair of sterile gloves I have in another section of my purse in my kit as well! I also need to make myself a car kit! Again, thank you for all your awesome ideas😁❤️ you've given me a lot to think about!

@rosesroundup You should definitely keep the nail file if it's useful. I know what you're saying about broken nails snagging on things. I have small scissors in my kit and use those, but a nail file would do a nicer job of repairing a nail.

Nice kit! I would also include emergency cash, an anti nausea med, a little antibiotic ointment. These are all things in mine that I’ve used in the last month or so. I would also have a paper with a few important number written down in case something happens to your phone.

Suggest adding $20. Also, alcohol wipes help if you have nausea just smell it. you might want to into a consider a bag for beauty and one for emergencies/medical.

If the mosquito pouch is taking up a lot of space. I got these awesome mosquito patches at Target. They are super thin and would be easy to put in your kit. Awesome video!

I think we all have a tendency to do this but it seems like part of this bag is “plane” hygiene / appearance (breath strips, perfume, spoolie, etc) and some of this is straight up “emergency” (alcohol swabs, bandaids, hydrocolloid dressing, tylenol / basic pain meds / tums, etc.). There are certain things I wouldn’t want to be caught without either (in what’s important to me) but I suggest a slightly larger bag, which others have suggested or putting some of this into yet a different (small) bag. For example, put the real emergency stuff with your traditional toiletries, so you can carry this freshening up bag to the cabin rest rooms & easily open it up (cuz you can’t in its “full state” currently) or put the true emergency stuff in a similar, small RED bag symbolizing first aid (so as soon as you see it, you know it’s first aid and not the spoolie, perfume & breath strips). Thanks for sharing - it got me thinking!

Wow, it’s amazing what you were able to cram in that little pouch! Love those little ziplock baggies! Looks like geared towards mostly hygiene and minor first aid, plus a couple items suiting to your needs! Nonetheless, very helpful items on a pinch! Great job!

Great pouch! It's amazing what you can get in a small pouch! I carry 2 or 3 coin towelettes, they are smaller than your towel. I've used them so many times and even given them to others. I also carry electrolyte packets, we've needed them several times! Thanks for sharing! 💜

Even though it's a pain in the butt I really enjoy little pouches like this. I have one two and just use equate pill bags. I got the idea from Theory of Simple. She's the queen of how can I cram as much as I can in this wallet for an edc lol

So you over packed your pouch. Which you can totally do, it's yours. Do what you want with it. But maybe I can help. Just listen, and if you don't like it. You don't have to do it. I've done stuff like this for a long time. This is what works for me. The slide pockets in the back need to be filled first if they're going to be used at all. If you fill the main pocket first. The whole pouch bows out, and it's hard to fill anything in the slide pockets. So you might want to cut some of the stuff you want to carry. Again, it goes back to what will fit in the slide pockets first. Also, the hook&loop panel in the front is normally meant for a morale patch. What I think would help you is to find a band-aid hoop&loop pouch. I have one and used to use it all the time at a job. Easy to get to and easy to use. Just a few ideas, I hope I can help in some way.

totally agree! This is especially a problem in, say, a bathroom stall......😂😅 The recent addition of my little pill ziplock is what sent it over the edge. I'm looking for a pouch that is longer and can therefore be thinner. I'll keep you updated!😁

Request information/links - the tiny zip lock bags, where from? One time use eye drops, didn't know they existed, never thought about it, good idea, where from? Suggestion - list of emergency contact numbers; since they're in our phones now days. In case there's no cell service, battery dead or you're non responsive, EMS would know who to contact. Could also include blood type, any medical issues, prescriptions you take. Some cash, always good to have on hand.
