For brows, I used to use the Hourglass arch brow in Dark Brunette which matched my hair and brow hair but always looked quite dark, and I like a strong brow! However, I started using the Soft Brunette shade and it is lighter, and a slightly cooler toned brown and I think it makes my brows look so much nicer. I don't like to apply too much, just fill out a bit of the sparseness and then I go in with a tinted brow gel to get them really fluffy. So long story short - I'd have a look a going a bit lighter, but a cooler tone. You'll get the shape without the harshness xxx

At 52, stopped coloring my hair, and now coming to that "peace" with makeup. Like you, I still enjoy it but am so tired of "chasing" every new product, that one that is perfect for me. I'm now more of eyebrows, mascara, blush and of course sunscreen! No foundation (not since I was 35) but sometimes concealer under the eyes on the bags😁. I do find that the eyebrows do make a difference as I get older. I am currently using hourglass pencil in ashbrown. I do find it to be one of the more neutral undertone, where as alot of ones I have tried are way to warm on me, being light/med skin tone, blue eyes and now silver/brown hair.

I have the same problem with brows and have tried several products over the years. Best so far is the Dior brow mascara/gel (Diorshow Onset Brow in Dark Brown, #032). Really great, unique product that matches my neutral/cool, dark but somewhat sparse brows without being overwhelmingly dark (the product looks muted and greyish out of the tube, but turns to very dark brown and sheer when applied). Great channel, by the way!

Ahh…love this minimalist, easy look. I’ve been enjoying the patch work foundation technique from Lisa E too. 16:41 I feel you on the brows. Mine are black and sparse. I actually like usin NYX Precision Brow Pencil in charcoal. Not too pigmented, super soft black/gray and looks like shadow between the hairs. I wouldn’t go sending talent to shoot with it but looks great for everyday real life. Glad to see you back!

I have found that I need to go up to the lighter neutral shade for brows. As a person with a light skin tone and very dark eyebrows I cannot choose any color even close to my brows without making the whole area much more of a statement and attention draw than I would like. I have been really enjoying a more washed out color that adds shape and fullness without drawing attention. I have one ash brown shade that is closer to being neutral, and I also have a slightly warmer one that also works pretty good since my hair is warmer brown than my eyebrows. So, overall I think a brow Benchley should be lighter than your actual brow hairs by a shade or two.

I feel it! That's one case for... maybe more expensive is better? If it gets the job done, but it also has 'effective' ingredients and a gorgeous package, I know what I'm paying for! Have you tried any other colors of that highlighter? I'm eyeing Nectar :-) xoxo Diana

@@SlowGaze ooh nectar i've seen more dupes of. the thing is, with that highlighter in CAD, the price rings up to $65 and with tax it's a nightmare. not easily accessible for everyone. so right now im just duping it myself with clear gloss + a blue KVD highlighter

Love the rms uncover up in 11, I'm on my third or fourth pot I think! I also wear blush everyday so I got some life and color back in my face, currently loving the inner glow creme pigment from rituel de fille in 'lovesick'

I have the same kind of brows and what I like to use is a brow pen so I can fill in the gaps one stroke at a time which, yes, takes longer because you are drawing one hair at a time but the result is a very light natural look and it doesn’t make your brows look like a block you colored in.

Thanks for sharing. A lot of beauty KZbin I watch "skips" the brows because people may find that boring, so it's great to hear your take on it. I get needing to have a naturalistic, hair-like brow with having such sparse hairs. I'm sure it's a beautiful effect xoxo Diana

Besides sunscreen, brow products and necessary. Usually elf brow wow. The line between your lips and your not lips has a name, the vermilion border. How much WA do you pick up on your brush? I use a small brush but sometimes feel like the product doesn't look flawless and wonder if I'm using to much 🤔
@SlowGaze
@SlowGaze 2 жыл бұрын
The vermillion border! I learn something everyday :-) I pick up very little of the WA (that 's why in this video I keep going back to dip). It's very pigmented and pretty thick, so I'm looking to pick up a little and spread it verrrrrry gently on my face across a larger area. Hope that helps! xoxo Diana
