With all due respect, Grandma Lill is from a different time. When folks HAD TO stretch their hard-earned money as far as possible. Times were tough. It was the "Waste not, want not" era. OH WOW! I can't believe I missed that the 1st time I watched this.. *WELL DONE, GRANDMA LILL!* That "file of life" is VERY IMPORTANT and HELPFUL for EVERYONE living in the house! I'm an EMT for an emergency ambulance service and it helps A LOT when trying to treat you while on the way to the hospital. When the patient isn't able to speak or can't remember, we always check in or on the fridge for it. Preferably, it should include: name, date of birth, social security number, insurance info, medical history/surgeries, allergies, all medication names, and nearest relatives phone #'s. PLEASE, if you're reading this, make one for EACH of your family members! Just write/type info and put it in an old prescription bottle and keep it somewhere visible. THANK YOU!
