Thank you so much! I ploughed through Reaper Mania as I switched only 2 days ago. Was looking for some more advanced features for detailed editing and man you really do a good job of it. The move selected item to edit cursors position is absolutely life changing, same with order shuffles and accurate loudness. I also hadnt figured out Midi learn yet but with that little button you have I dont have to :) Thanks again

My pleasure! Happy to help :) I switched in 2020 too! Reaper's been really great and it's gonna be hard to do stuff without it now :)

@@IDDQDSound yeah I dont think I could have switched without your channel quite honestly. Most channels are doing quite a lot of recording tuts and for electronic music you need to know how to get in the nitty gritty of editing. By the way, do you know of any way to natively granular stretch a sample? I saw there is one granular sampler but its confusing with the record functions, dont even know what its trying to record from. Been using PaulXstretch since the switch

Man, thank you so much for your content. I saw your post regarding this channel in Reaper Forums and came to watch, it's an awesome content, for beginner and advanced users. I'm watching all your videos and enjoying a lot! I'm trying to assemble my own toolbar and templates, and this video is really helpful, but I didn't seem to find the toolbar download in your blog. I'll take a look into your "for visual media" series later. Thanks a lot again 😁
@IDDQDSound4 жыл бұрын
Hey Felipe! I was gonna upload the toolbar but it also requires you to import all the icons, as well as it would apparently crash if you open it without SWS, so don't wanna do that before I figure out how to package it so that no one accidentally crashes their system! So if you want send me an email and I'll get you a copy of it, if you have SWS. My email is on the website. Won't share here or I'll get spammers :) Appreciate all the kind words dude! Glad you are enjoying them :)

Thanks for these videos. I've definitely got a few good ideas from them. No stupid questions? I'll test that now. 🙂 Do you know if I can consolidate edited wav files with stretch markers in their unstretched form while still preserving the stretch markers? In other words, let's say I record 20 minutes of audio and stretch the hell out of it with stretch markers all over the place, but I only end up using 5 out of the 20 minutes. I would like to delete the 15 minutes of unused stuff and clean the audio folder, but I don't want to freeze or render the stretched file. I want to render the unstretched for 5 minutes and keep the stretch markers where they are so that it is nondestructive.

That's definitely not a stupid question and really advanced stuff. Lemme do some tests on this. My gut instinct is that the best course of action is saving two files, but lemme get back to you on that :)
@JimDooley4 жыл бұрын
@@IDDQDSound Thanks. I have the same gut instinct. And thanks in advance for running some tests. I didn't mean to create work for you. But if you can figure it out, it may be a good tip that no one has made a video about yet. I can get a little overwhelmed with KZbin notifications. Feel free to track me down if you need to. I'm easy to find.

Awesome tutorials! I don't check YT regularly, so it would be nice to have an RSS feed in your blog, please?
@IDDQDSound4 жыл бұрын
Hey Aber! Thanks so much! I have an RSS Feed on the blog which updates automatically with new videos. You can find it on iddqdsound.com/blog It updates each playlist when a new video is added. Or did you mean something that notifies you when a new video is added?
@peanatter4 жыл бұрын
@@IDDQDSound I subscribe to RSS via Feedly and Feedly found nothing when I put your blog URL into its search bar so I thought there isn't a RSS. No idea, I'll check back when I processed all the information from the first 40+ videos :)

btw aber isn't a name, just the German word for "but". I was fairly astonished that this name was not already used.

Heyy that's strange. If you have ReaPack it should be in MPL scripts. If you can't find it, shoot me an email and I can send you the script. Email in my About section :)

@IDDQDSound4 жыл бұрын
Hey JT! ED is part of ReaTeam. The command is found here: github.com/ReaTeam/ReaScripts/tree/master/Items%20Editing I would recommend you download the whole thing. They're all good and worst case the scripts weight nothing :)

why not just use contextual toolbars? it's so much cleaner
@IDDQDSound4 жыл бұрын
I use them for other things but there are commands I want to click without running an additional action. Also to each their own. The whole point of Reaper is to do what you like.
