It's a camera backpack. Meant to protect your camera and all your lenses and it does an incredible job of it. Protected all of my gear in Antarctica even when my zodiac was crushed by waves and I was soaked head to toe.

Peak Designs is fantastic with their lifetime warranty. I've had this bag for 3 years now. A year ago, the top zipper started to separate just a little bit. submitted a warranty, and no questions asked, they sent me out another brand new bag. I live in China, and there was a snafu with who would pay the taxes to bring the bag into the country. After the hassle, they told me to just keep the old bag as well, rather than ship it back to them. I then sold this bag to a friend. 6 months later, the side zipper on the old bag I sold my friend blew out. He was up front with Peak Designs about how he came to own the bag, I sent him the emails and warranty claim I had for that bag, and they sent HIM a new bag as well. $260 is nothing for a bag that comes with that kind of service and belief in their product. I now have 3 different PD bags, and I couldn't be happier with them.

Yeah, it probably does. It does have some back padding but when the bag is stuffed and heavy the back arches. There is a possibility that it even bent my ThinkPad :( (Only the lid is slightly bent like a inverted curved display. But it could have been from opening the lid in the corners and not in the center.)

It'll probably also be the only thing in my bag as well since I'm going paperless - aside from a small binder with loose leaf paper just in case my professors require work to be done on paper. And my backpack is padded on the back so that it doesn't bend much and acts as a cushion. I'm the person who usually sits on my bag when the floor is dirty and have nowhere to sit, or simply throw my bag on the floor when I get home. I'll be a lot more mindful and treat this iPad like a goddess and place it on a pedestal. Have you any issues with you iPad bending?

​@@nyps I usually don't comment on KZbin videos and I know a lot of stuff is probably sponsored or an ad on this channel, but I own the 30L version of this bag and can confirm that the latch can be hard to open, because the top cover is quite hard and there are magnets and a latch on top and sometimes it just doesn't come off or snap in as easily. That along with one of the bottom latches (for tripod) which is twisted for some reason (not sure if that is intentional or not assembled correctly), are my only complaints about this bag, but the issues are minor. I've not seen many bags which come close to this. I bet for me and also for him, this is the perfect bag and he certainly has the budget to buy any bag he wants, yet this probably is still the best choice. It simply doesn't make sense to use a different bag. Altogether this is just a perfect bag for everyday and carry-on when travelling. I didn't buy it because of this video, but it's actually very well made and totally worth the money. I mean, I sometimes carry stuff worth about 10k$ in this, I will definitely not cheap out my bag and risk losing everything. Either through theft, water damage or the bag falling apart. I've owned other bags before, even more expensive ones than this, but they were worse quality and/or not as well thought-out. I'm not working for peak design and this is not a sponsored post, they've simply done a very good job on this bag. Excuse the amount of praise for this bag, you should check it out yourself, I'd sleep in it if I could.

Don't forget, there's also a couple other neat hidden things: - When you open the top flap to access the inside, there's a magnetized pocket that's very hidden. It's on the front of the bag, but just inside, under that flap. It's a good spot for your passport or something. - In one of the bottle holders, there's a little strap with a Peak Design anchor on it, so you can keep your keys attached to your bag. This bag is dope and I'm glad you got it! Now I'm going to see them everywhere. :D The matte black one is really nice, but the inside color is a beige/brown-ish color and not the cool sleek grey color that you have. I wish I'd gotten the charcoal instead, but maybe I'll save that color for the 30L when I get that thing for bigger photo shoots and whatnot.

Used to carry everywhere my big pentax DLSR, a f/2.8 zoom, my macbook pro, my HD 25 and plenty of dongles.. Now it's just my phone and a compact camera, and frankly I use them a lot more, brought them to many places where I woudn't bring anything before ! Even on long holidays I'd just add an usb battery and an SD reader for my phone to edit raws and grade videos on the go, modern tech is SO convenient.

Have had the same backpack but the 30L version for a couple of years...actually I crowdfunded their project on Kickstarter when Peak Design was a small startup! Such an awesome product, I truly love it! It has followed me everywhere I went, like in New Zealand two years ago, the fact that I was able to carry a Phantom 4 with it was brilliant!
