Oh for heaven sake, what a concept. Turn the book over and 2 books in one. Brilliant!! Love the tote. I am getting my fountain pen out, cleaning old ink out of it and restart using it. Just sitting in desk drawer being ignored. Apologies to MontBlanc

My bag gets heavy fast, although I am way better than I used to be, so yeah, turning books back to back is a good way to keep your thoughts organise while away from the stack of journals that usually serve that purpose. Oh, fyi, if you think of it, it is a good idea to empty a pen of ink and rinse the bladder with water before storing. It is easy to forget to do but if you leave the ink in, it can degenerate the sack. (Found out the hard way! 😁)

Hi Kelly, the trip sounds wonderful and right up my alley. I just love cathedrals but unfortunately living in Australia I don't get to see many historic ones but it's one of my favourite things to do when we used to be able to travel to Europe. Always wanted to see Gloucester cathedral, so hope you will show us some photos, can't wait to see your sketches. Love your travel kit. I bought a water pen, gesso and liquitex medium yesterday, you've inspired me☺

Loved seeing what you take along! It helps me to narrow down what I need when I go out on outings! I seem to think I need to pack an entire suitcase of things I just might want! lol I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip and I admit that I am a bit jelly that I am not exploring all those churches! We hope to take a trip next early summer to Spain and see some of the old-world architecture, cathedrals and castles!

Where do you live? I would love to visit Spain but some countries still aren't having us. 🙄🙄🙄 And it took me years to trust that less is okay and you can always get socks and art supplies when you get there if you have to, so always underpack. But bring a good book and snacks.🙂

Hey gurl, I'm only halfway thru this terrific vid. Had to comment...I LOVE the way your mind works! Both the journals and those scrumptious books on churches and architecture!! Drool-a-ramma! BTW, how long is the trip to get over there? Books and magazines are the ONLY way I can travel anymore. Fortunately for me, the hub does all the driving! Now, back to your tute! ;)

Mikelle, I occasionally find myself saying that the first step to our recovery is admitting we have no power over our art supplies. On the other hand, I always do a cull at the beginning of the new year and if I am not loving it, I send it off to a friend and make space for more!
