I just got in a team but my problem is that I still feel a bit uncomfortable calling for the ball or if we try to get the ball our rule is to say „me“ to practice communication.

Try communicating with ur teammates personally to get comfortable, get used to everyone’s habits when the ball goes up, and work out a plan to call for the ball without them noticing while still letting them get the ball so u can all play equally! 😁

hey!! one more day of tryouts and i think i did pretty average haha. im pretty good with passing and setting but my height affects hitting and serving (im 5'1 and everyone else is like 5'6-5'7 lol) it doesnt stop me tho!! hopefully i can make the last day count haha ive been trying my best! if i dont make it then thats totally cool ill learn from it and hopefully tryout for club in november. if i do make it then imma be super hyped and ready to learn so much more (im pretty new to the sport lol) :))

Does it matter to go to open gym because my tryouts are in July so I have plenty of time to mentally prepare myself for it but my open gym is in 2 weeks and I don’t think that’s enough time for me cause I’m a freshman and I literally have NO IDEA abt anything w volleyball and I mean nothing so I thought I’d be able to have enough time to teach myself but I don’t want to miss open gym if it’s important.. Tea Sis I think you should go to open gym! Me and my friend are about to be sophomores and we’re trying out because we don’t play a sport in the fall! We’ve never played so we won’t be disappointed if we don’t make the team we’re kinda doing it for fun. I’ve gone to 3 open gyms and my tryouts aren’t until August but I’ve really improved!! I think you should go and don’t be nervous although it’s REALLY nerve racking at first you’ll do great ✨

I have to wait until 7th grade, I’m actually so excited. I wanted to do Cheer then a friend said they were trying it for Volleyball. Sounds fun, right? I look it up, trying to find a good video. I find you. I’ve been binge watching all your videos and learned SO much in the last 2 days. I have a “Sports Information Videos” playlist dedicated to Volleyball. Your videos are the only ones! Your help with attire, hygiene, what not do/to do..all of it! You’re so helpful. As weird as it sounds, you help me with health. I am not confident in my knees. I’d never put lotion on, I put it on twice a day now. I feel SO much better. God, all I have to say is thank you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. You’re amazing! I hope I make it on the team! You don’t have to bring knee pads to tryouts or practice, but you do need to bring them to games. I remember one time I forgot my knee pads and my coach was about to not let me play, but thankfully, someone had extra ones with them. So please remember to bring knee pads to games!

This upcoming year is my last year in middle school and I was on the volleyball team last year. I have tryouts sept 4 and for some reason I am superrr scared. Ive done tryouts before and now becoming an 8th grader a lot of seventh graders are coming to me for volleyball tryout advice and all I say is go check out Koko Volleys channel. I'm the kind of person that likes to write EVERYTHING down. So I write down a lot and I mean notebooks full of volleyball tricks and tips. Last year I was one of the 2 seventh graders that make the team and every day since school ended two months ago I've been going to the gym constantly and serving with my parents.
