My first year playing I was benched but got a little bit of playtime and my second year which was last year I was still on jv but I got tons of playtime bcs of my attitude and work ethic and skill level…I’m going into 8th grade this year and I’m going to be on varsity but I’ve been playing on a travel team over winter and I’ve gotten so much better and I’ve been working a lot since my 7th grade season and look back from my videos to my videos from winter and my skill change is sooo much better within a coarse of a few months looking back I’m like what the heck am I doing

Hello!!! Koko, I have a question. I'm 13-14 yo and 5'5 feet and I really want to go pro in volleyball. The thing is: I dunno what position is the perfect position for me. I'm really strong, my reception is good and my serve is very long and straight in the back line of the opposite court. I have a quite good control of the ball, too. I can't jump high (prob bcs it's been like 10 months that I started playing volley). What should I do???

I know I’m 5 years late but I’m new to volleyball and I think I’m going to ethier go with 10 of 11

When I first started playing volleyball (3rd grade) we got 2 tries for serves and I would serve overhand left handed and then not make it over and serve underhanded right handed and I would throw the other team off lol. Now I serve overhand with my left hand but I’m working on serving with my right so I can just switch and throw off the other team lol

I’m a setter and a right side bc my team plays a 6-2 and I always make sure to set my right side (the other setter!!)

My question: which part od hand we shloud hit the ball?

But will you need them for tryouts ?

A tip my coach told me was that before you serve, always check the height of your elbow. She said one of her girls would always look behind her to make sure her serving hand was raised before she swung.

Here is everything I have in my volleyball bag as a volleyball player who has played for 5 years. 1. Knee pads 2. Shoes 3. Deodorant 4. Chapstick 5. Extra whistle 6. Perfume 7. Band-aids 8. Medical tape 9. Lady stuff 10. Hand sanitizer 11. Extra hair ties This is just what I bring. Everyone is going to be a little bit different whether they bring more or less than me and that’s okay! I was just trying to give you ideas on what to bring. (Koko has some good volleyball bag videos that I would recommend watching as well!!) 🩷

I remember coming into practice and our coach tells us we need to find a setter so we lined up and one by one would set down the down the court. My coach comes up to me and tells me that I’m going to be the setter if I’m okay with it I said yes and have been a setter ever since.

There was no concession stands at my tournament once and so I was going to a gas station with my friend and she had to carry me to and from the vehicle 😂

When a teammate misses to hit the ball we go "it's alright it's okay we still love you anyways no tears no swears this game ain't over yet not yet not yet not yet"

I have a question I need advice on how to stay behind the ball when I am hitting?

I practiced for 4 years. I hit everry ball over the net, did everythjng good and they didnt even care to look and they picked peoole who can even hit the ball over the team. I honestly give up. And its not okay..

tip for jump floats and standing floats: put your thumb back so your wrist locks that wall you’ll have a very strong hand hope this helps!
