I'm so impressed with how spot-on you are with your videos. I've been shooting over 2 decades and a lot of videos are guys - but you have broken into that genre with extremely articulate, concise, and complete videos that make your channel attractive to tune into. While you do come across as very sweet and friendly, you also clearly have a command of your business in terms of knowledge and presentation. I'm so glad to have found you, a talented photo educator. And, yes, having moved over to mirrorless 5 years ago due to the toll that DSLR's took on my wrists, it's a never-look-back situation. I think if I was going on an Amazon jungle-like trip, I might pull out a DSLR for its ruggedness - but, anyone who saw the dropped Sony A1 take a rolling fall at the last Winter Olympics - lol - mirrorless is probably more rugged than it may first appear. :)

I just got my Z9 a couple weeks ago, totally love it and the transition to mirrorless has been much easier than I expected. I don't shot weddings, mostly just couples, families, engagements, and headshots. If you get one, you will love it, especially once LR fully supports all its raw file formats. On a side note, my buddy lives in and shoots in Vegas and would love to pick your brain if you ever had a free moment chat with him.

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend swapping out your D4, Z6, and F 70-200 for a 2nd Z6 II or a Z7 II, for any ultra high res needs, and the Z 70-200. The Z 70-200 is the BEST lens in Nikon's lineup and may be the best lens from ANY brand, trading blows with Canon's RF 28-70 f/2L.

Just finally switched completely over to MIrrorless cameras. 1 Z9 and a 2nd on the way for the weddings. a few F-glass left but mostly Z now. 1st wedding this year next week with it all swapped over.

🙌 🙌 What's your fave Z / S series lens? I'm loving how clean and sharp the glass is. Very eagerly anticipating the announcement of the new 85 f/1.2. Have a killer first wedding of the year next week Steve!

@@ChelseaNicole i have picked up the 70-200Z and 50 1.2Z last week. The 24-70 2.8 is amazingly crisp and works great at the reception. The 85 1.8 is also great. Im thinking my fav will still be the 70-200 for its versatility as it was on the f mount.

@@ChelseaNicole Hi there, curious as to how you handle shooting mirrorless when it comes to the reception. I am struggling hard to focus in the dark without the use of the red IR beam from the flash. Have you found a work around. Right now, I shoot with the Z7II for the portraits, wedding etc then switch back to my D810 for the reception.

I’ll be interested in your Z9 thoughts. I bet the autofocus will be great for weddings. I hope Nikon comes out with something between the Z9 and the Z_II bodies. I also sadly gave up my 85 1.4D when I went mirrorless last year.

Hey Jim! I can't wait to get my hands on the Z9 and test it against the Z6 II. I'll definitely share my thoughts once I do! But the piece of gear I'm most eager for is definitely the 85mm 1.2... According to Nikon rumors it might be announced as early as this month! 🤩🤞🏻

I am so bummed to hear that they’re coming out with the 85 mm 1.2! I just bought the 85 mm 1.8 about a month ago! I guess I should research a little more LOL😜 Oh well! I love it anyway. Thanks for the video Chelsea! You’re the best!
@ChelseaNicole2 жыл бұрын
Aww yea.. It hasn't 'officially' been announced yet (only that another 85mm is on the road map), but has been rumored for a while. Also, earlier this month Nikon filed a patent for it! I imagine the price point will be much higher. But if it's in budget, you could always sell your 85 1.8. The great thing with lenses is they hold their value well. But even if not, the 85mm 1.8 is still a super legit lens! 🙌 I love mine!
@ozarksdigitalcreations92542 жыл бұрын
The 85 1.2 has been a rumor for the last 2 years so there’s no telling when it will actually come out and how long it will be on back order. You definitely didn’t go wrong getting the 1.8, it’s an incredible lens for it price.

Hi Chelsea! Do you find that with any of the F mount lenses that you needed to make microadjustments on with AF Fine Tune, that they aren't as sharp with the adapter on the Z cameras? I have a 70-200 third party lens that I had to have my AF Fine Tune adjust for me and got good results on the d850, but find it is front focusing on my z7ii and don't have a way to make any micro adjustments. Advice?? The speed of the autofocus is fine and looks good on the back of the camera, but when I got photos on my monitor, I noticed it. Thanks and have a great day!
@ChelseaNicole2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jen! All my adapted lenses have been sharp using the Z cameras so I haven't needed to make any adjustments. But it's possible it's because it's a third party lens. That said, Nikon still has a AF fine tuning option inside their mirrorless cameras, so you should be able to make micro adjustments for that particular lens. Sounds like you just need a subtle adjustment to correct the slight front focus.
@jen430722 жыл бұрын
@@ChelseaNicole I will look for that! I thought with no mirror that wasn't possible! Thank you!! 🙏🏽❤️

@@jen43072 It isn't possible on Canon's mirrorless cams, but Nikon still gives us the option thankfully! 😊 Hope it does the trick for you! ❤
