What's your favorite piece of gear you take with you on a shoot?

I have a little camera LED light from ikan that I like to bring with me. It has a magnetic diffuser!

DJI Pocket 2, I jokingly got and I have been using it all season. Great little camera to just put up and run so you have that safe cut away angle if something starts and you are not ready for it. Great video!!

I thought I was nearly the only wedding film maker doing timecode with tentacle. Lovely to see you using them. They are just amazing for sure.

Yes timecode is actually very helpful!!

Awesome video. Thank you!

I could watch camera bag videos all day! 😄 When you're using timecode what are you doing when you want to switch frame rates? Like if you needed to go from 24fps to 60fps.
@HowToFilmWed Жыл бұрын
24 because I know the speaking parts I want are going to be filmed in 24fps.

Love it! I definitely need to up my lighting game, get a 70-200, and the little TX mic for the reception microphone. I have my on cam mic and always pull from the DJ's board but really need a third source just in case that is void of anything the DJ does. Great video!

do you think the kinotehnik vmount would power over lights? I have been trying to make my godox lights more portable

Would you recommend the FX3 or the A7SIII? I currently have the A7SIII but am considering upgrading for the firmware updates. What are your thoughts?
@HowToFilmWed Жыл бұрын
We like both - the biggest difference is the fan on the fx3 that helps with overheating for us

For the magnetic VNDs, does the baseplate have any glass in it? Or is it empty?

Thanks for all the infos, very helpful video !!! Are you focusing in manual or auto. I can't make my mind on this. This is going to be my second season as a wedding videographer and I shoot with an Irix 45mm T1.4 cine Lens. I love the image but manual focus is hard below 2.5-3.0 when there is movement and I loose a lot of the possibilities of going full bokeh which I could do with an autofocus. Also i need a bigger focal length for portraits so I can't make my mind on buying another cine Lens (manual focus) or moving to classic lenses like an 85mm or bigger but with autofocus. Would love to hear feedbacks of people on this 😊

The autofocus technology has come A LONG way in the past 5 years. Personally, I use auto 95% of the time.

nice! the 50mm 1.2 was my first lens. I got a 35mm 1.4 and 24-105 f/4 this year

How do you like it?
@thefestivalboy Жыл бұрын
@@HowToFilmWed Honestly I still use the 50 like 90% of the time for everything. I find it fun to try and use a fixed lens to get the perfect shot. The few videos on my page we're all shot with the 50.
